This tour was incredible! Yoshimi was the best guide. There was 4 of us that were friends and We had so much fun with her! We learned and saw SO much. We really maximized our short time and I cant recommend this enough. Even though Fugi was hidden all day she made sure we got to see and do it all and then we we’re blessed with Fugi popping out for us right at the end! Yoshimi specifically was a highlight of our trip- She touched our hearts on top of exceeding our expectations! This is a must do!

Today my partner and I embarked on a tour of a lifetime with our guide “Yo”, and our driver Toshi. They provided for us a very customised experience that allowed us to view both sides of Mount Fuji and its surrounds which required a lot of flexibility on their part and only a small amount on ours. We experienced; the Aokigahara Forrest, its ice cave, Owakundai, Hakone, its beautiful Shinto shrine, a gondola ride, a lake cruise and lastly, the open air museum. Both Yoshima and Toshi’s knowledge of their home was impressive and amusing in the best possible way. Thank you both! And a big cheers for the Japanese lesson on the way home!

We like to thank our tour guide Yoshi and our driver Toshi for giving us such a wonderful experience, during the tour Yoshi explained the history of japan in detail to myself and my family which made the drive feel quick and we where always excited to arrive at our next destination. The drive was very comfortable as we had our older parents with us and we were catered to by toshi when we needed to take any stops. Thank you again for the wonderful experience that we will never forget.

Mr. Suwa wasn’t the best tour guide. He spoke very poor English, had a bad stink, and didn’t take our requests into account. Days before we submitted the areas we wanted to visit but the company didn’t mention the places we had to make a reservation beforehand. My family was excited to learn more about Mt Fuji and Japan but when we asked Suwa questions he was unable to answer. Since this was a private tour we were disappointed with the lack of personalization.

We greatly appreciate the feedback and understand your concerns. It is unfortunate to receive this low rating with these comments as we have tried several times to communicate with you directly to discuss but have not received a response. Given this public forum, it is best that we address these concerns publicly especially give our documented stellar performance record over the last 8 years.
1) The group seemed very happy with all the photos the guide showed me, and was even tipped at the end of the day.
Response: The guide became very depressed that his name had been publicly exposed in such a way after the group expressed happiness and even tipped. We addressed TripAdvisor to revise the "Bad Stink" comment as a personal insulting and attack listed in their "Top 10 Reasons for Removing Posts Other Than Fraud". In the future, it is recommended to TripAdvisor and reviewers that these personal attack comments not be allowed.
2) Poor English.
Response: English is a second language in Japan and there aren't many English native speakers. Additionally, there aren't many tour guides with the knowledge of the locations our guides possess. Our guides will continue to seek out opportunities to master the English language while also ensuring proficiency in tour attractions.
3) Questions that couldn't be answered.
Response: Our guides study, research and educate themselves for answers to all possible questions that might be asked, sometimes spending their own time and money to do so. However, not everyone is knowledgeable about all things in Japan and when asked if the answers could be provided in follow up communication, the reviewer never responded.
4) Activity selections, please select between 4 and 6 as noted on our activity page.
Response: The reviewer selected 11 activities and when approached about our policy, still insisted on 9 activities. The number of activities is driven by time requirements of transportation, activity location hours of operation, and human activities such as food and bathroom breaks. The day before the tour, our guide was told that given the guide's experience and the timeline that the guide could choose the activities. The reviewer asked the guide to plan the tour. Admittedly, our guide planned for a "guided tour at the sake brewery" but given the last minute decision, there were no reservations available. We have learned from this mistake and have quickly remedied this matter to alleviate it in our future tours.
Again, we greatly appreciate the feedback and would like to have communicated directly with the reviewer but received no responses after several attempts.
This is the very first one-star rating ever received in our 8 year history. We have taken these comments to heart and will use them to improve our service for future clients. Our guides are enthusiastic about what they do for every group and always seeking opportunities to create the once of a lifetime experience that all visitors to Japan seek out. After all, we are Japanese and we are very proud of our Japanese hospitality.

Mazda went way above our expectations to make my family feel welcome and comfortable. He made sure our trip was complete and memorable with everything he Mt Fuji area had to offer.

Private Tour: Chartered Car to Mt. Fuji Lake Kawaguchiko or Hakone and Lake Ashi is a great pick for my family of 6 people ♥️. It was my husband’s, myself and our 8-year old daughter’s 2nd time in Japan. It is the 1st time in Japan for our eldest daughter, her boyfriend and our middle child (son), but we are all in unison - We all had a great time with this private tour. We want to thank our tour guide, Yoshimi-san and our tour driver, Taku-san for a wonderful, informative and exciting day🤩. Thank you for your suggestions in planning and coordinating the day with our selected areas to visit. We truly enjoyed the suggested lunch spot as well😋. Thank you for driving us safely, to so many beautiful spots, Taku-san. Thank you for taking wonderful pictures of our family at the perfect spots and background, Yoshimi-san. We will definitely come back with a plan for another area guided tour. We want to request for you both to be our tour guide and tour driver again. We appreciate you both 🥰. With an 8-year old, who did not want to do lots of walking, she appreciated the breaks in between getting to places/spots, just sitting in air conditioned van 😜. We know if we tried to plan the day ourselves, it would not have been the same. We would not have gone to so many amazing spots like how this tour provided to our family. Out of the 10 days we were in Japan, this is our most favorite, most unforgettable, most treasured and amazing day ♥️.

Taiji (our guide) and Tako-San (our driver) really made the trip stress free and thoroughly enjoyable. As we didn’t know much about what there was to do around Mt Fuji, we left it up to Taiji and because we have 4 boys, he suggested going to the Ninja village, where we watched a show and engaged in some ninja training activities. Our boys (ages 8-16) all loved it. We also visited an outdoor shop in a small village, the ice caves, and ate a really delicious meal at a local udon restaurant before heading to Lake kawaguchiko where we had the most amazing views of Mt Fuji. Taiji was extremely knowledgeable and even gave us recommendations on what to do on our upcoming trip to Kyoto. Would highly recommend!

I am the customer, not the service company. You can customize quite a lot the tour. Of course starting time, but depending on what you want to do you need to start 8:30. Regarding baby seat I am sorry but I don’t know

Zahid, they'll ask you where you want to go around Mt Fuji & tailor the tour for your desire. I recommend you ask Tokyo Star Agency direct about the specific destinations, they are very helpful.
