JapanBall is a great organization. Good people, very knowledgeable, very experienced, very helpful. They do all they can to make your experience the best possible. I took the pre-, main and post-tours in 2019 and loved it, even though I contracted a bad cold about a third of the way into the trip. I'm planning to go back again this year - if the coronavirus doesn't interrupt things - and next year, as well. And, while the tour is centered around baseball, you have plenty of time to do other things - either on your own or with others. Highly recommend ...

I've done the JapanBall tour 3 times (2014, 2015, 2018). I loved it so much that the 2018 tour was part of my honeymoon with my wife! If you like baseball, travel and Japanese culture this tour is for you. I really enjoyed the balance between structure and freedom on this tour. Daily itineraries were available for those wanting more structure, but on any day you can go about your own business and do your own things, even skipping the games. I made several friends that I still talk to many years later. Everyone was so nice, friendly and knowledgeable. I will likely go again in future years.

I didn't expect a whole lot when I signed up with Japanballtravel.com to go to the Dominican Republic early this year to watch baseball and explore the DR. What a great surprise I had in store. First i didn't know what a beautiful and friendly place it was. Beaches were like Hawaii without the high prices. I also had my first experiences drinking rum and coke. Sure I had my Pina Coladas first, but then decided to try the locally made rum. Delicious and very inexpensive.
Japan Ball as a company has been around for many years, bringing baseball lovers to watch and experience the fun of the Japanese leagues. Now the company is expanding into other countries. The DR, Korea, Taiwan and others.
I knew that a high percentage of MLB players came from the DR, so I wanted to see what their secret is.
my tour guide Shane, worked for MLB for many years including a stint in the DR. So he was familiar with the venues and still knew many people working for the MLB development teams there. We were fortunate to spend a day at the Cleveland Indians facility escorted the the GM. A beautiful facility. Obviously MLB teams spent big bucks on these teams.
We also spent several hours watching leading prospective players in a showcase for MLB scouts. Again we were fortunate that executives from MLB's DR group explained how they oversaw these teams and there method of developing the young players.
