I had a 10 hour layover at NRT and wanted to get some air and see a bit of Tokyo. Logistically, after the hour it took to go through immigration and customs and the 1.5 hour train ride into Tokyo, a 3-hour tour was the max amount of time that I had, and Lauren helped me to make the most of that! We covered about 4 miles on foot, visiting sites as divergent as the Meiji Shrine (where we saw a wedding) and the crazy Takeshita Street.
With such limited time it was invaluable to have Lauren’s expert guidance not only about history and culture but also knowing which bathrooms are clean (and have soap!) and where to get a good iced coffee. This private tour was SO worth it - way better than 10 hours in Narita or trying to navigate for myself.
Highly recommend especially with Lauren!

Amazing guide (Nobu), friendly logistics, great picks for sightseeing, eating and shopping. It was a good experience and will definitely book a longer trip to Tokyo!

Emir was an awesome tour guide! I came here on a solo trip with nothing planned at all, I decided to book a personal tour guide on Trip Advisor and it was one of the best things I've done to kick start the trip! Amir was a wealth of knowledge, having lived here for numerous years, showed me lots of 'hidden gem's' I would never of found on my own and he was one of the nicest person I've ever met! I thoroughly enjoyed my tour around Tokyo...

We did the 6-hour tour. Our tour guide Lauren was so well prepared and had been in contact with me on multiple occasions before our tour to make sure she could tailor the tour to our wants. Lauren was knowledgeable and very friendly and she was able to think on the fly and be flexible on the day. Highly recommend.

Marek was a wonderful tour guide that opened the door to Tokyo from a personal perspective. We hit major landmarks and also took a personal tour of corners of prefectures we would have never discovered on our own. We discovered amazing sushi, ramen, izakaya and yakitori spots, learned our way around the transit system, and learned about some of the important traditions at the temples and shrines as well. Thank you Marek!

What an incredible day exploring Tokyo with Apy! She's the kind of guide that makes you feel like you're exploring the city with a close friend rather than being on a tour. Our 4-hour adventure took us through some of Tokyo's most fascinating spots, including the magnificent Meiji Shrine, the trendy Takeshita Street in Harajuku, and the bustling Shibuya district with its famous crossing and incredible shopping. Apy’s knowledge was impressive, but what really made the tour special was her warm personality and how she shared interesting stories and cultural insights in such a natural, engaging way. If you're looking for a Tokyo walking tour that feels more like exploring the city with a knowledgeable local friend, you can't go wrong with Apy as your guide!

This was the highlight of our trip. We enjoyed each stop on our tour with fun surprises and lots of learning of culture and Japanese history.

Hi... I had that tour.. and yes... you can coordinate with your tour guide the places you'd like see the most. I did it with City Unscripted... and my tour guide was Tomo... my 11 hours tour was completely customized. I hope this helps.

Hi, would you be able to pick us up at the cruise ship terminal? My Aunt and I are looking for someone to take us around between the hours of 4pm-9pm but we'd need to be picked up and dropped off at the cruise ship terminal. Let me know if we should book or not with you... Also, we realize we'd mainly be going around in the evening so some sites might be closed but I'm sure there's plenty to see regardless. I have never been to Tokyo before and were not particular about what we see/don't see but....again, let me know if it's ok to hire someone between 4pm-9pm and also please let us know if a cruise terminal pick-up/drop-off is possible. Thanks!
