We took this tour our first day in Tokyo and it was a perfect way to get introduced to the city and see a lot of key sights. We covered a ton of central Tokyo and it really helped us get our bearings. Gaku was an incredible tour guide too, and we really enjoyed our time with him.

I highly recommend this bike tour, it was the highlight of our trip to Tokyo. Gaku is an excellent guide--he is kind, thoughtful and knowledgeable. We arrived the afternoon before and jumped right into the tour the next morning. It was a great way to orient ourselves to the city and see many key attractions. It is 20 miles of cycling, so you should be in good physical shape. We did the tour on a 90 degree day so we got pretty sweaty. One of the many nice things about Japan is there are vending machines and bathrooms everywhere so you can purchase water along the way to stay hydrated. There are also two spots to refill a water bottle on the route. Make sure to bring a handkerchief or bandana (both for wiping sweat and drying your hands--the public bathrooms don't have paper towels or dryers). It was nice to be in a small group (max 5 participants) and to get to know other travelers. Make sure to bring sunscreen and a backpack, you'll need it to carry your lunch. I brought a hat but only wore it at the Imperial Palace. If we went in summer, I would definitely bring a cooling towel. Most importantly, we had a great time and would highly recommend Gaku's small group biking tour to friends and family!

This was an exceptional tour!! Gaku is an incredible guide! He is very friendly, kind and attentive. I would highly recommend this bicycle tour with Gaku! He was constantly checking in to see that we were ok. The tour goes all over Tokyo and stops at main landmarks. It's a great way to see the city from a different perspective. I give this tour 12/10!!

Had an amazing experience! The tour was well thought out and my guide Gaku was very knowledgeable. We took a lot of pictures and Gaku would capture shots of use while we were riding the bikes as well as take excellent pictures when we are visiting a landmark, shrine, building, etc.
I booked the tour solo and there was another couple in the group. The start of the tour was mostly flat with frequent stops for some information about the shrine, landmarks, buildings we are about to visit and of course pictures. This allows people to warm up for the long day ahead. Then we stopped at the grocery store to pick up lunch. Gaku helped to translate the writing on the lunch options for us and provided great recommendations. We ride a little more before having that lunch with an amazing waterfront view. Post lunch the route was mostly flat allowing you to digest your food. After digesting and well into the afternoon, we start the hardest part of the tour with some uphill riding to the last stop.
Gaku was really good at telling you what to expect for the next leg and how long it would take to reach the next stop. Took about 30mins. The last stop was a viewing platform. Gaku pointed out our starting place and pointed out the route we took for the day giving you a clear visual on how far we actually traveled.
I had a food tour after this bike tour and everyone was surprised I seen more of Tokyo in a day then they did that week. Great first day in Tokyo that would allow you to see a lot of places so you can determine where you would like to spend more time. Also, a great way to fight jet lag. Please do yourself a favor and go on this tour. Ask for Gaku

What a fabulous and fun day with Gaku and our international cycle mates!! 👏👏👏😊
It was one of those experiences when you are fully present in the moment, and you know you're doing something pretty remarkable, headed by a very special person—Gaku. 🙏
This tour is easily a five star 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 experience, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo, wanting to try something new and exhilarating and safe and organized, too.
Gaku takes good care of his clients and is sincere and informative. The route he has planned is fascinating (three sizes of shrines and other city highlights)..and the time sped by but never felt rushed. For us it was our last day in Tokyo and what a perfect recap!

This bike tour around Tokyo with Gaku was such a great way to see more of this incredible city. We covered so many sites, both major as well as unseen attractions through some hidden back streets. We highly recommend signing up for this tour, to get a real perspective on the city, culture and people. The small group was great, and our guide Geko was so accommodating and knowledgeable about Tokyo, and Japan. Thank you, this has been the highlight of our trip so far!

If you do just one TripAdvisor tour in Tokyo this is it! Gaku is a great host and guide to this unforgettable adventure. We saw so much and learned a lot about many areas throughout Tokyo. I had some reservations about biking in the city of Tokyo but Gaku’s direction and information about safety as well as how the trip broke down was super helpful. Seriously if you want to have a memorable and fun trip this is it!

Gaku was amazing! We enjoyed this trip so much as we got to see so many spots in just one day across various parts of Tokyo. We felt very safe riding amongst traffic and Gaku made sure everyone felt comfortable. I would highly recommend this tour.

Saw beautiful places that I would never have seen otherwise. Gaku, our guide, was really fantastic. Very friendly and told a lot about the city. Was able to answer all our questions.

Not to my knowledge. We all had small backpacks to put an extra jacket in, and to transport our bento boxes.
