Victor was very knowledgeable and friendly. The whole experience was great. The ruins were amazing and we learned a lot about the area and the history. Exactly what I was looking for.

We had such an amazing time exploring Mayan cities with Victor. He is a very knowledgeable guide and he cares so much about the wild life and supporting local communities. Victor also showed us some tropical birds on our tour. See the photo of a beautiful toucan that he took 😍.

This is a one in a lifetime experience! The energy of this place is so special and we could not ask for a better guide. Victor is more than knowledgeable, he is passionate and it shows. The vast history of the Mayan jungle will live on for generations to come because of passionate people that care. I 10/10 recommend Victor. As others have noted there are people "blocking" the entrance to the ruins, by all means these are FRIENDLY people who want to be taken care of for passing on their land! Please respect the locals as this is more than a tour destination for them, this is their home, their land, their history, their culture and their legacy.

Ochtends werden we opgehaald door Victor bij het hotel. Victor nam ons mee naar een prachtige omgeving waar hij alles van wist. Wist alles te vertellen van de plek en de dieren die er leven. Vele foto’s gemaakt maken met Victor van de dieren en de tempels.
Echt een aanrader en neem zeker een camera mee!

We contacted Victor for a last minute trip for the next day. It was really easy. He picked us up at the Hotel in Chetumal in the Morning and drove us back. We felt absolutely comfortable and pleasant. His English was very good, we understood everything. Questions were answered detailed.
Victor led us on a 1/2-Day-Trip to Dizibanche and Kinichna. Luckily we were able to see the Ruins without other tourists there. He brought a Backpack with several things to show, pictures and loads of knowledge in mayan history. Also he offered Mosquito-Spray and water.
Viktor is really into animals. He teached us about the Birds we saw and heard as well as about his work in wildlife- and educationprograms.
We absolutely recommend Victor. Won't book anywhere else. Check his Birdwatching and Instagram.

Tour incroyable avec le guide Victor Rosales!
Il a des connaissances incroyables sur la culture Maya, les ruines mais également les animaux endémiques et principalement les oiseaux. Il peut reconnaître le chant d’un oiseau en quelques secondes et l’identifier mais aussi l’inviter à venir plus près pour que nous puissions l’observer à l’œil nu ou avec des jumelles. Nous avons rencontré des singes hurleurs et singes araignées en pleine chasse pour leur repas c’était un spectacle et un concert incroyable! Je ne peux que recommander le tour à 💯 %

Victor has a degree in ornithology and is passionate about preserving endangered species and threatened plants and wildlife. He is a walking encylopedia about the Mayan and Aztez history. One of the best tour guides we have ever experienced.

Our trip to Dzibanche with Victor was awesome! Not only does he know a lot about the Mayan culture and architecture, he also showed us a lot of wildlife like special birds, spider monkeys and even a fox. He took his time to explain more about the Mayas and gave us a lot of background information. Afterwards we went for a great lunch in a cozy family restaurant. I really recommend going on a tour with him!

Victor nam ons mee op ons eerste bezoek aan een aantal van de Mayaruïnes in Mexico.
We werden perfect op tijd opgehaald en reden vervolgens naar Dzibanche. Eens aangekomen kregen we een rondleiding van ongeveer een uur op het terrein. We hadden geluk en waren de enigen daar.
We kregen een gedegen historische uitleg over de verschillende ruïnes en namen ook de tijd om verschillende vogels en andere wilde dieren te spotten.
We sloten de tour af met een heerlijke Mexicaanse lunch in een lokaal restaurantje.
Gedurende de hele rit vertelde Victor ons allerlei interessante weetjes over de geschiedenis en de natuur van de regio.
Absolute aanrader!

This tour was so fun and exceeded all of our expectations! Victor is extremely knowledgeable about every topic, if we asked a question or pointed at anything along the road he knew everything about it and more. He's not only an expert in Mayan history but also an expert in ecology and is really passionate about conservation. We learned so much about the local environmental issues that we would not have known otherwise. He is an all around awesome person and it felt like were we on a tour with a friend! We visited the Dzibanche site which was not too busy. Victor provided great visual aids and examples during the tour and even had personal experiences which made the tour super unique. He even let us borrow binoculars so we could see some birds and the howling monkeys up in the trees! To top it all off we went to lunch at the most delicious spot on the way back to Bacalar. It was definitely one of our favorite meals on our trip. Thanks Victor! Hope we can visit again soon!
