I had a guided tour with Kostas. I'm 68 and it was a great experience with Kostas as a great guide. I felt safe and challenged. I did the 3 peaks Scolio, Scala and Mytikas. I will never forget. We met friends of Kostas and had a private talk at the end of the tour with a beer and good tips for my journey to Crete via Athens with my motorbike. We had a friendly farewell by Zeus with thunder and a little shower at the end of the tour. No lightning. Unforgettable.

Going to the top of Mount Olympus is of course a great adventure. We highly recommend this if you are in good shape.
It is however not without risk, especially the last climbing part, up and down.
Therefore we recommend taking a guide, using a harness and a helmet. We felt safer being tethered to the rope, each other and our guide. Our guide also guided us through the climbing.
The one thing we did not like was that he walked ahead of us until we reached the climbing part, so the first 3 hours or so. He was way too fast. So fast that we effectively had to find our own way up. This was very frustrating.
So, if you use this company, please specify if you want to go up really really fast or at a normal pace (and a safe pace). Then make sure they and they guide know this. We were upset with our guide who most of the tour left us way behind.
(And we are not that slow, just safe. We hiked 10 days to Everest base camp the year before, we are not inexperienced)
So: yes, use a guide for your own safety please.

Sharing an amazing experience climbing to Mytikas with my two boys and with Apostolos Tsolakidis from Trekking Hellas. This was a private guided 2 days hike. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide! Apo is a super experienced, knowledgeable and professional guide. He was attentive to our needs and very kind and pleasant. There is no way we could have climbed the Olympus highest peak without his professional guidance.
I strongly recommend booking with Trekking Hellas. Sakis, the manager was very communicative with us during the whole process of planning our hike. He was attentive to our requests and did all he could to meet our expectations.
Thank you Trekking Hellas for fulfilling one of our dreams 🙏🏼💚

On Sunday 10 September 2023 we climbed Mt Olympus, the highest peak of Greece, with Tasos Nikas, a professional and experienced guide from Trekking Hellas Mt.Olympus .
We drove to Christaki refuge at 2500m.
And we start hiking at the mountain and later climbing using our hands (rock scramble) being assured with ropes and helmets until we arrived safely at the summit of Mytikas(2918m). Enjoyed exceptional view and rested before hiking back down to the cars and saying goodbye.
Tasos was extremely helpful, ensuring that we were ok during the path and for having no experience as a climbers, not once did we feel unsafe! We were confident we were going to make it the summit with his help.
Honestly, one of the most amazing experiences we’ve had!
We absolutely recommend trekking hellas mt Olympus! Sakis Pitenis and his team totally worth it!
We are going to meet again in another hiking trip!

This was one of the most exciting hiking activities I’ve ever experienced! I really want to thank Sakis and Stergios for their awesome guidance. Sakis’ story tellings during the ride made me and my friends feel more relaxed during the hike, since this was our first time ever.
Mount Olympus has so many beautiful sights to witness and capture. We took so many pictures at Mitikas peak amongst the clouds. Having a snack at the highest point in Greece is absolutely mind blowing! Will definitely be there again. Everyone should at least try it once in their lives!

I recommend taking a 2 day trip. unless you are a professional hiker. guides from fellows. Еven two days is not enough to enjoy this beauty.

You must go to Larisa by train or by bus. From Larisa take a bus to Elassona. From Elassona if there is no local bus to Kalyvia village , you can take a taxi , it is about 20 kilometers.
