We decided to visit Sunworld on a bit of a whim (and really just to go on the cable car!!) but actually really enjoyed our 2 or 3 hours there. The landscaping was really well done with traditional foot bridges, koi lakes and pagoda-esque structures. The water puppet show was excellent and despite not being able to speak vietnamese nothing was lost in the performance. (These run from 5pm onwards). The park was very quiet as we were there on a week day. I am not sure we would have enjoyed it quite so much on a busy day with lots of children running around but timing is everything!! The gardens are really nicely lit up in the evening but beware the curse of the selfie crowd and particularly the big bus tours who will not think twice about getting in your way as long as you don't get in theirs!! ; )
