Awesome seeing the colors. Guide was fun and knowledgeable. I would recommend this for people of all ages.

What a great experience! We had a fabulous time on this tour. We experienced seeing, touching, and swimming with the Bioluminecence alge. It felt like we were in a different world. It's worth the dirve and money.

This tour was a huge highlight of our trip! Luis was an amazing guide and made the experience truly memorable! The bioluminescence is strong here and easy to see both from the kayak and in the water if you choose. Beautiful experience. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience. Bioluminescence was incredible and otherworldly. Our guide was very informative and enthusiastic. We were able to swim - it looked like swimming in the stars.
Directions were clear, and the launch site was very peaceful. We were able to relax in the hammocks and have some complementary coffee and cookies.
Host was also very accommodating - we had a long drive and unfortunately were stuck in construction and showed up late. We missed initial launch, but we were able to still go out and have a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Can't recommend enough!

We did a night time kayak bioluminescence tour last night. We originally signed up for a few nights ago, but the weather was not great (lightening and thunder) and while the tour was not cancelled, they let us reschedule for no additional fee. We returned last night and it. Was. Incredible. The weather was MUCH better and our guide, Luis, is extremely passionate about what he does and it was contagious! He was wonderful! We took our two kids (9 and 10) and they said it was the highlight of our 8 day Costa Rica trip!! They have a fantastic set up and wonderful team! (A picture of sunset from their place- it was impossible to capture the bioluminescence in the water but believe me when I say you will spend the hour in the kayak constantly awestruck!) 10/10 would highly recommend!!

The directions and signage were very clear, especially for being a bit off the main road. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. We had clear directions and a safety brief prior to leaving. The water was very calm and absolutely beautiful! I loved this tour!

My first experience with bioluminescence and it did not disappoint! The guide was skilled in locating where it’s the most prevalent. The tour began with a safety discussion and info about bioluminescence. If you have even basic level kayak skills you’ll be fine as the bay is very calm. The optimal time to go is around a new moon. The night we went was so clear and we were also able to see so many stars and constellations. We even got to get out of the kayaks at one point and splash around. Very magical!!

I accidentally booked my tour for the next day but they had no issue squeezing me in that day which was really nice. The people were very helpful and understanding and they didn't rush us or bore us. We went to different locations to see the bio-luminescent better and the guy let us go swimming. Your phone camera will most likely not do the water justice however the experience was out of this world amazing.

How easy is it to get to the departure point from Jaco? Is it possible to do a day and night kayaking trip and then get back to Jaco afterwards?
