Chia Chien is a great tour guide and she is well educated . I had a super time and she explain everything in detail. her English is very good. she has a new car and her driving is very good. I will recommend her to anyone

Best Tour Guide Ever!

I really cannot ask for a better person to bring us along on our 1st
experience off grid of Taipei! Jack was simply fantastic bringing us
everywhere as well as very friendly. So many times he went out of his
way to make sure we are entertain and comfortable. I will resommend
him for sure to anyone who is looking for a fun time at Taipei!

Went to all the Sites, but didn't learn much

My family and I had a great time on the tour. We saw the old street in Jiufen, saw the waterfall at Shifen, and set lanterns off in Pinxi - all the activities we wanted to do! Thank being said, we didn't learn much about the places we went from our guide. I wish we had been told to bring rain gear as the guide said "it rains everyday!"

Stephen was a great guide. He could explain everything und had answers
to all of our questions concerning life in Taiwan. He was a safe
driver and always very polite and helpful. We highly recommend him as
a guide. Although he is French his English was quite good.

Full day tour

Jessica was an amazing host and very knowledgeable! We really enjoyed
the day with her and learnt a lot! She knew lots of amazing facts about the places we visited and really knew her way around! All her recommendations were excellent and we especially loved going through
the temple with her and learning about how it works! I would highly recommend a tour with Jessica!

Fantastic Day Trip
My day with Jack was fantastic. He was kind enough to pick me up at my
hotel and drove us in his very nice vehicle first to Shifen, the town
and the waterfall, then on to Jiufen. He recommend the best food items
to try and they were all delicious! He is very knowledgeable about
both the sites we visited as well as the general history of Taiwan. We
had great conversations throughout the day! We left Jiufen city and
explored the gold museum, the WWII POW site and memorial and then the
beautiful coast. As my short visit to Taiwan was centered in Taipei,
Jacks tour gave me the only opportunity to see these sites on a
compressed timeline. Don't come to Taiwan without giving yourself this
opportunity. Thanks Jack!

Really enjoyed this tour
The waterfalls were more than I expected, the visit to Shifen and the ballon launch was terrific. The visit to Jiulen was lots of fun, full of life. My tour guide Jessica was terrific. She was friendly and very well informed especially on the visit to the Taoist Temple. A real education and lots of fun. Highly recommended.

Good Day Trip But Didn't Follow Itinerary

Our tour guide, Jessica, was really great! Her English was fantastic and she provided many insights and knowledge throughout the day! Overall, it was a day trip that I would definitely do again. The reason I didn't give this five stars is because it did not follow the itinerary shown. We did not see the Wanggu or Golden Waterfalls and our experience in Jiufen did not include the tea house or an evening view. (We ended up taking another tour to see the Golden Waterfall as it was on our list of want-to-sees for Taiwan.) Also, instead of the traditional meal that was part of the package, our tour guide offered us the money back and suggested either the market or the tea house for food. We opted for the market but I wish I would have chosen the tea house. The market food was really similar to all the night markets that we visited in Taiwan and was very, very crowded. But there was a great little cocktail bar that we were able to visit with a wonderful view. Jessica also took us to visit a temple that wasn't part of the itinerary but it was really beautiful and neat. Overall, a great trip but I think the actual description should be updated so people know what they get to see and do. I would recommend Jessica to anyone looking for a fantastic tour guide in Taiwan.

Would've been a 5 star review if it wasn't for the tour guide...

I went with my family on this tour. The tour guide Daphne was supposed to arrive at 9am but did not arrive until 9:40am. Not sure if she was having a bad day but she didn't seem to care to be there. The tour included a small lunch and dessert which Daphne failed to mention.

It's a good thing we tried some of the food in Jiufen old town otherwise we would've been starving. The tour itself would've been great as the sites were fabulous but having a bad tour guide kind of ruined it for me. Even the lantern experience which was supposed to be 2 people per lantern became 4 people to 1 lantern as Daphne insisted we didn't need an extra lantern.

Not sure why other reviews say Daphne was a great tour guide. Maybe we were just unlucky and caught her on a bad day?

I would recommend this tour to other people as it's worth seeing the sites but just beware of who you get as a tour guide.
