Nicolas Ying is the best tour guide hands down! He will take you to the best places and can share a lot about his country. He is very friendly and accommodating. We never felt rushed but stayed on schedule the whole day. He is both a great driver and great tour guide. He knew all the best routes to walk around and park. Without us asking, he even held an umbrella over our heads while we photographed the changing of the guards. We enjoyed our time so much day one that we planned another custom tour for the next day. He knew I loved Sanrio and took us to the 7/11 Sanrio crossover. He really goes above and beyond. He even took great photos of us throughout our time visiting and recommended yummy foods. He knows all the foodie spots to go! Highly recommend that you book!

This was the best trip we have taken in a long time. Steven was amazing with planning the itinerary and we feel we did so much in 8 hours. Definitely bring cash with you to this as many vendors do not take card. Steven was very knowledgeable and told us much of the history of the places we visited.

It was a lovely trip.
I was worried because I am Japanese and speak only a little English, but it was the best tour in that regard.
You can talk about various things about Taiwan while traveling, and even if the car is too crowded to park, you can go sightseeing first.
You can also discuss any additional places you would like to go from the planned courses and they will make suggestions for you based on your schedule.
If you can speak even a little English sickle, please. I think it will be a tour that I will not regret.

Our local private guide Nicolas Ying was extremely professional and friendly, he had given us very informative and engaging sharing on local history and culture for every different area we visited.
His transportation arrangement was also very considerate, dropping and picking us at convenient spots, and also planned for good routes. He is also willing to adjust for our last minute needs.
Highly recommended for ppl wanting a private tour.

We had so much fun touring around, of course with the help of sir Vincent. He was really kind, friendly, and very considerate and helpful with our needs. Because of him and yolo taiwan, we want to return to the country!!

The private tour was amazing! Our tour guide Nicolas Yang was super friendly and knowledgeable about the areas in Taiwan. He went above and beyond to make sure our tour was enjoyable. He communicated very well before, throughout and even after the tour to ensure everything went smoothly. He would help you with anything you need in Taiwan. I highly recommend Nicolas if you want a private tour.

Our full day tour with Vincent was the highlight of our trip. He was prompt and super friendly. We were well taken care of for the day. The weather wasn’t great with the typhoon approaching, but Vincent was very proactive in choosing which sites we could go to. He had umbrellas for us and made sure we were comfortable with bottles of water. Vincent’s knowledge about the area was outstanding and his English was excellent! We appreciated having such a thoughtful and caring guide taking us to all the great stops.

This was the best tour we had in a long time! Our driver and guide, Vincent Lee, took great care of us. Not only he was knowledgeable about the history and cultural background of all the places on the tour, he was also a great photographer! He took so many awesome family photos for us. Highly recommend!

We do not recommend YOLO Taiwan tours. We booked a private family tour with YOLO Taiwan with an English-speaking tour guide. Tour guide Ben spoke in Mandarian for 85% of the tour. Ben is not a tour guide, as for most of the tour did not provide much information about the sites we stopped at, which was very disappointing. The tour stated this is a flexible tour, but that is not the case, Ben with YOLO Taiwan took us where he wanted to go on the tour.
Visiting Shifen Old Street, tour guide Ben rushed us through this area, when throughout the walk, we asked multiple times to stop at different stalls along the walk. When tour guide Ben reached the end of Shifen Old Street, after not listening, our family turned around and retraced our steps to stop at the stalls we wanted to visit. The ice-cream cones, and food we stopped at on our own was fantastic. We are glad that we bypassed tour guide Ben and made these stops. Tour guide Ben gave very little information/history about this area.
Visiting the Shifen Waterfall, tour guide Ben, provided us the information that this is a waterfall and not much more... well, we could see this.
Tour guide Ben was the most interested in taking 1,000 photo's or our family instead of giving our family a tour of the different locations, speaking English, and allowing our family to enjoy the different locations.
Prior to booking the tour, we asked to stop at Houtong Cat Village, and tour guide Ben took us to this location, and told us this is the cat village and tour guide Ben stays in the car, while we walked around seeing only five cats. After we returned to the car, then tour guide Ben tells us that the cats are way in the back - this would have been helpful had Ben not stayed in the car.
It was very hot during our tour, and the only time tour guide Ben offered us water from a water cooler was after the first stop. Tour guide Ben doesn't do well with tours.

What a memorable experience with my family! Our tour guide Vincent was a fantastic leader who was knowledgeable, proactive, funny, and so thoughtful! He picked us up and dropped us off at our desired location. He was very attentive to our needs and safety throughout the whole journey - having supplied umbrellas, mosquito repellent, and cold water to combat the humidity this summer was more than we could have expected. The timings of the day were perfect too and we throughly enjoyed the whole experience! Also, thank you for taking all our photos! It’s been such a lovely experiencing exploring Northern Taiwan with Vincent, and I’d definitely recommend this tour if my friends or family come to Taiwan! :)
