Julie, our guide, was fabulous. Rather than just taking us from place to place, she gave us tips and suggestions along the way for how different vendors/markets/variations of food compare. So pleased I got to do this tour! Thank you Julie!

We met Julie at the exit of Taipower building station. Our lucky day! We were Julies only guests for the lunch tour. She took us through the streets of Taipei and presented us to great street-food.
We could discuss food, as well as politics, with her, and we had good conversations as we walked.
We had a great time, the best so far, in Taipei!

Julie did an amazing job on our food tour in March 2025. We have been on multiple good tours from both Secret Food Tours and some of their competition. Secret Food Tours always delivers a solid result, but Julie was definitely the best of our guides. She was fun and read our small group well. She sent MANY suggestions for places to go for the rest of our trip and told us that we could call on her if we needed assistance with anything else. It truly felt like walking around and eating with a friend that already knew the landscape of the city. I would recommend anyone in Taipei should take the tour and enjoy!

Julie was a great tour guide! I really got to get a great overview of Taipei’s food culture and culture and try some great dishes. I highly recommend this to anyone, especially solo travelers!

Julie, our food tour guide, was amazing! She was knowledgeable, kind, and patient. We had a wonderful time enjoying delicious food and boba tea at eight different stops. The food tour walk and tastings were well-paced and timely. We didn't feel rushed at all. By the end, we were really full and satisfied.
We also thoroughly enjoyed our walk through Shida Street Night Market, where some of the stalls were opened for lunch, and the surrounding neighborhoods. Additionally, Julie gave us many fantastic tips on other night markets, food, drinks, and restaurants to try and visit. We highly recommend booking a tour with Secret Food! Our thanks and kudos to Julie for a scrumptious and memorable food tour!

Had a great time exploring a food market with Julie. She was friendly, bubbly and knowledgeable about the area. The food was tasty and varied. We wished we did this on our first night in Taipei as it gave us confidence to try street food and trying food we would not normally try.

I lucked out as it was only Julie and me on the tour. It felt as though I was being shown around Taipei by a good friend. Julie is delightful--she is professional, personable, and knowledgeable of Taipei's history and its cuisine. Although this was not my first visit to Taipei, I noted in the tour description that I hadn't tasted most of the offerings and decided to give it a go. The food didn't disappoint. Everything was delicious and plentiful. I really liked the pace of the tour and the streets and eating places we visited were perfect. Based on Julie's expertise and friendliness, as well as the food tastings, I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Whether you are a first time visitor or have been here multiple times I guarantee you'll love this tour and definitely not end it hungry!

I really recommend this tour! I tried very interesting types of food which help me to know what to order during my trip in Taiwan! Julie was a great company! She took care of everything, shared some interesting facts about Taiwan and Taiwanese food and gave me some further tips and recommendations where to eat in Taipei!
