We spent 3 nights in Nagoya and the main aspect we were looking forward to was the day trip to Takayama and Shirakawa. I just booked the half day illumination tour to fill in some time but it turned out being the highlight of our stay. Mr Lee was very accommodating and changed the itinerary so we could visit Atsuta Jingu. His Engligh was limited but we managed to communicate fine with the help of his phone app. An hour at the Nagashima outlet mall wasn't enough time but that was the trade-off from visiting the Shrine. The illumination displays at Nabano no Sato were wonderful and very Instagramable! Mr Lee guided us around the park on what was a fairly cold night making sure we saw everything, taking photos and never rushing us. It was a memorable experience and felt well treated for the entire time.

For me, the time I spent at Atsuta Shrine and the outlet stores and Nabana no Satono was very memorable.
That's because you all used automatic translation to make up for my lack of English. Such interactions have become fond memories. I'm sure the subsequent tour of Shirakawa-go and Takayama was also a wonderful memory of Japan for you.
If I have another chance
I would love to take your family to experience the countryside of Nagoya. Well then, I wish you and your family health and happiness.

Lee and Mariya were very helpful and friendly! Our trip was enjoyable ! And Lee and Mariya made special arrangements for us to have a enjoyable dinner near hotel ! Highly recommended ! Will come back again and find them!

lee was helpful and kind. He is not very good in English, so have to talk simple English o communicate with each others. Otherwise , our trip was comfortable and fun.

Our guide communicated with us before the trip. He was flexible with our schedule, and was open to the idea of replacing the outlet store with a few sightseeing spots in Nagoya. We still went with the outlet store option though.
Even though he suggested for us to go to the outlet store first, before heading to Nabana no Sato so we could maximize our time, he granted my friend's request to see the garden during daytime.
We loved the illumination at Nabana no Sato. I would've skipped the outlet store, but my friend wanted to check out Onitsuka Tiger. She was able to buy a pair at a much lower price.

It was great admiring all the lights. Definitely instagrammable. Our guide even took us to the atsuta shrine and Nagoya castle facade afterwards. Lee was great!

The highlight of my Japan visit. Our guide, Lee, and the illumination is nothing but PERFECT!!! The outlet is superb, lots of good finds! And Nabana no Sato, just WOW!

We enjoyed the half day tour very much largely due to the patience of the tour guide who was a local and played a great host. He took pictures for us and emailed them after the tour. He even offered to take us to places outside of the itinerary after we had completed it with some spare time left. Two thumbs up!

Thanks for the question, illumination ended on May 6th. However, since this facility is originally a flower-themed facility, seasonal flowers are wonderful in Japan's largest flower garden. The tour has now been changed to visit the facilities and the largest outlet in Japan. As of June 23, you can see the rose festival and the flying figure of the precious fireflies.
