Professional and Caring Tour Team Members
We booked with Kevin for a tour of Osaka on a cruise stop. We were so excited, but due to a typhoon, our stop to Osaka had to be diverted. I was able to communicate this to Kevin once I obtained wifi at one of our stops. He was so understanding and kindly refunded the deposit we paid for the tour. I am so grateful and appreciative of Kevin and his team for their professionalism, credibility, and sincere concern for our well-being.

Excellent tour, highly recommend
We had a fantastic day exploring Osaka! Our guide Levy was lovely, knowledgeable and fun. We were driven around to various sites and at each our guide gave us a bit of history/background. We all said that while we could have in theory visited these places on our own we wouldn’t have gotten nearly as much out of it without the commentary. Mix of historical sites, shopping/food areas etc.
even though it’s a tour with a driver these still a bit of walking which we enjoyed, allowed us to explore a bit.
Levy our guide really was excellent, a genuinely nice guy. He helped us sort out our Shinkansen tickets and gave us some recommendations on other things to do while in Osaka which was really appreciated
Both adults and kids (11 and 13 year olds) thought it was fantastic. Even the 13 yr old said it was great and we don’t normally get praise out of him lol.
If you’re in Osaka and want to tick off a few of the main sites easily and have fun doing it I’d highly recommend

He loves kids too, so family tours are as welcome with us as those without. Thank you for writing this very kind review. Outstanding guide for Osaka
This was a great time! Levy was our guide and he was outstanding. So funny, friendly and knowledgeable. He really is the best guide. We loved seeing Osaka with him. It’s a fun city, very different from Kyoto. Had a great time.

Hi Roxanne, Isn't Osaka a great city? So glad you could explore it for the day with us. With Osaka being as close as 15 minutes from Kyoto (or around 30-45 minutes if you use a local train), more and more Kyoto visitors are taking a break from historic splendor to explore the unabashed TODAY-ness of Osaka, with it's own sights, food, and slightly wacky people :) As for Levy, we appreciate you pointing out his knowledge, friendliness, and sense of humor. He does have it all! With over 20 years in Osaka, he's got our guests covered. Thanks for taking our tour, and for writing a review too!

Best private tour!

It took me a while to pen this because I want to make sure it’s the best review for this travel agent. Right from the start , Kevin, the boss ,stands out from other travel agents that I have contacted . He is super responsive and accommodating. We are a rather big group with elderly and it really wasn’t easy to plan this trip but Kevin had made the planning process easy. But that’s only the beginning! We are met with the nicest , kindest , most responsible driver/guide for the entire trip. His name is shoji. He is the kindest driver we have ever met, helping my aged parents the entire trip and acceded to our requests many times. Our trip may not be so smooth sailing without Shoji. Shoji, as mentioned, thanks for being tolerant with us , I know many times it hasn’t been easy especially during meal times but you have shown your professionalism and have been tremendously patient with us. Kevin , my boys enjoyed the night tour and possibly an eye opener for them. They love your jokes.
So once again, I do apologise for the inconvenience we may have caused. But I want others to know this is the best company to engage if you are considering to go Osaka or the Kansai region . You won’t regret it!

Great Tour, Great Guide

The tour was fantastic. Levi was very knowledgeable and did a great job making sure everyone was having fun. There is a lot to see in Osaka, and having a guide really made a difference.

Perfect family experience

Kevin was awesome. Professional, knowledgeable, and gave us the perfect experience. Easily would’ve taken us 3 days to visit the sites on our own... and we certainly would not have had the context provided from the tour. With COVID a continuing concern, having a vehicle to transport us around instead of hopping on and off a dozen+ trains and busses, was a comforting benefit. Will use this service again when other family comes out to visit Japan in the future.

Made arrangements night before and Kevin was punctual and with a wealth of knowledge. Did the private tour with car since we had Seniors with limited walking capabilities. Very pleased with the experience and highly recommend!

Great Way To See The City With A Small Group!

We booked this tour through Viator prior to our arrival in Osaka. There were 3 of us in our group and the van was the perfect size for us. Kevin from PIn Point Traveler was an awesome guide. Be sure to specify where you are staying so he can pick you up. We were at The St. Regis which is a great location. Kevin lives in Osaka and speaks fluent Japanese. He is from the US so no worries about being able to understand him.
He gave us an overview of what the tour was going to be like and asked us for input as to what we wanted to see.
We started at The Osaka Castle. Kevin is very well versed in the history and did a great job showing us the high points and allowing time for photos. Then we went to a temple followed by a walk through a Japanese Garden. He recommended a couple of places to eat and let us on our own for lunch. He met us again after lunch and we went to the top of the highest building for great views of the city. The we walked through a very high end grocery store where the food was fun to see. The shoppers were preparing for the holiday as we were there between Christmas and New Year's.
The seafood, meats, and fruits were incredible. From there is was on to walking through fun areas of interesting food stands and shops in the Dotombori-dori that used to be seedy but has been revitalized. Great photo ops. From there we walked past alot of fun shops all the way to the Running Man. It was busy there but fun none the less. This tour was a great way to see Osaka and the small group as well as Kevin's expert commentary made it a perfect way to spend the day! My wife and niece loved it. You will too!

The best tour ever!

Definitely was the best.
We booked that tour and had a few places we wanted to see.
The guide Levy took us to all those places and added some other off the beaten pass places that we would have never found out by ourselves.
It was a great tour, funny, and most interesting.
I really recommend to use this company we have used them for other tours and was recommended them by our friends that used them last year .

If we had wanted a walking tour...
Very disappointing. It was a walking tour for the benefit of our tour guide who spent time catching up with acquaintances on our time. It was not what we expected at all. He parked the car a block from our hotel and made us walk 12km. What the heck? If that’s the best and brightest, Osaka is a hole. We really feel ripped off. We expected to see some sights, not just the shopping district. Where we weren’t allowed to stop and shop, by the way. A great waste of money and time and effort on our part. Do not pay this company. It’s a rip off.

Hello, LPNSW. Seems to us that this is a fraudulent review. It is pretty clear from what you wrote that you did not actually do this tour. We have no record of an Australian taking this tour for at least a month back, and even then, your name is virtually anonymous and you did not say who your guide was. Still, for the benefit of clarity, I will address your points. 1. Osaka is not a hole. In fact, it's a pretty great place! 2. Why would we park the car a block from your hotel? This makes no sense. If we have a car, why wouldn't we stop in front of your hotel? We certainly wouldn't pay to park somewhere and make everyone (including the guide) walk for no good reason. 3. I highly doubt that any appreciable time was spent "catching up with acquaintances". Our acquaintances are not at the spots we take you, and anyway, it would be pretty unconscionably (and inconceivably) rude to do something like that. We are professionals, after all. 4. A car tour does not mean that you get to experience Osaka as a drive-thru experience. There is some walking involved. Not 12km, but at any rate, the walking we do is only when we can't drive any closer. For example, walking up to see the castle, or walking around temple grounds.. Which leads to... 5. If indeed you did do this tour, you would have gone to Osaka Castle, Shitennoji Temple, Kuromon Ichiba (fish market), and seen other things too that have nothing to do with shopping. So what you say about this is a complete fabrication. 6. If our guests want to stop and shop, that's fine. It's a private tour, so why would we mind? It just may mean that not everything on the agenda can be seen, but we are here to make your day happy and fun, not be dictators. How are we a rip off? That sounds like a company that doesn't actually provide a service as advertised, which is certainly not the case. I suspect, in fact, that you are disgruntled because you cancelled your tour last minute and did not get a full refund. Our cancellation policy is quite clear, and is quite generous in our opinion. Or perhaps you have some other reasons we can't think of, but regardless, what you have said here is slanderous, and very untoward.
