This experience was really informative about the history and creation of the Japanese tea ceremony. The instructor speaks excellent English and was able to discuss the deep philosophical meanings in the ceremony as well. We visited the tea room and got to experience a small ceremony as well as make some of the tea. I truly found the procedure of it to be the most fascinating, such as choosing a theme, taking a meditative break in the gardens, how to choose a flower or bowl, etc. Absolutely would visit again and recommend to anyone who has an interest in this sort of thing.

Our host was incredible! She was kind and made the ceremony fun. The ceremony was enlightening and it gave you the history of tea ceremonies! I recommend this one if you want to learn more about the history of tea ceremonies! Tea ceremonies are a must if you want to enjoy a traditional culture activity.

Mika was an extremely hospitable and knowledgeable host. The entire experience was intimate and a great way to spend 90 minutes away from the bustling life of busy Tokyo. A massive highlight was the preparation of Koicha in addition to Usucha - both of which were delicious. Would definitely recommend to those wishing to learn about Japanese tea ceremony.

My friend and I passed by this place, got curious and decided to book for the next day session. We were lucky to have the whole session to ourselves as it was a thursday afternoon. Personally, I was pleased with how the session was delivered in a way that it brings calmness to the usual busy itinerary of a tourist. It was truly an experience for me and my friend. We felt like we immersed into the Japanese culture. And as what our host, Miko said, the tea ceremony is beyond being just a way of tea. It may be on a pricey side, but the 90mins of being in a slow-paced environment makes it worth it.
