This was a great tour but not for the faint of heart or those with mobility challenges. I would also not recommend if you are prone to sea sickness. We walked off the cruise ship down the boardwalk about 5-10 minutes to the meeting point. On board the boat they have you take off your shoes and stow your bags in the hold. They have snorkel equipment and life jackets and water socks but no towels so bring a few. It is also good to bring a quick-dry shirt or possibly a windbreaker. The climb up and down Hells Gate was challenging but short. You may also want to pack bandaids and neosporin since the rocks are very sharp. The guides were fantastic helping us navigate the cave and climbs safely. Hells gate and the boat ride there in choppy seas with lots of spray were both very exciting. Other than that, it was very mellow. We stopped by the mangroves only 5-10 minutes. Then we had lunch/optional shallow snorkel in a secluded cove for an hour. After that there was another chance to snorkel by a reef. We saw several sea turtles from the boat. They saw fish and rays while snorkeling. On the way back they serve rum punch and dessert. They did use reusable plates and forks, but hopefully in future will use reusable cups as well and recycle the cans and bottles. Crew did a great job. Sit on the seats that face backward or the central island seats if you don’t want to get wet. Snorkeling is optional.

We enjoyed this trip very much! Able to see a lot of Antigua shoreline, learn a bit of history and do some snorkeling in addition to learning about the ongoing efforts to protecting turtle population. The staff was knowledgable, safety councils and a lot of fun

Booked an eco tour. The day before got an email:"Unfortunately, we did not get the minimum required to do the tour so we have to cancel tomorrow's Eco Tour." Ruined our day...

This is the second time you have written about our company advising people to boycott us saying that we ruined your day.
You say that the day before you were due to go or what about tours, you were notified by our office that we were unable to go out. This is true but only half the truth which always is a bit much we're looking at a call for a boycott.
About six times a year we are unable to meet our minimums and have to cancel a trip. WE ALWAYS OFFER ALTERNATIVE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!
That you didn't mention this and are are two different review sites telling people to stay away from our reputable local company that employs a totally local team is unfair to say the least. Antigua has many great tour companies, hundreds of a beautiful beaches, amazing resorts beautiful weather, warm waters and despite you having a days notice, you say that despite having notice, we ruined your day. With all these things to experience on the holiday, you found nothing to do but have a horrible ruined day that was so bad that you're now spending time to tell people to stay away from our company?
I get that you're upset but I would suggest that if you ever find yourself in a similar situation, try to make the most of the day ESPECIALLY if you have a days notice.
Obviously the alternative days didn't work for you but you were in one of the most beautiful places in the Caribbean and your day got ruined?
Were you paralyzed with grief that we couldn't take you out? Like common! There were alternative things to do just outside your hotel room. Obviously we would have preferred to take you the next day but you couldn't or didn't want to.
I cannot accept your extreme response to be an honest one and trying to damage our business and the livelihoods of our local team is unfair.

Had the tour booked for 22nd December, having booked on the 20th of December. Having arranged my schedule around this my only excursion it was cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.
An alternative day of the 24th December was suggested and I asked whether the scheduled return was the same as the original tour as I am leaving the country the same evening.
I was bluntly told no without and further details of what the schedule might be.
At this point I summised that they didn't want my custom and left it at that.
The issue was stated to be an engine problem with the boat although the booking agent Viator seemed to suggest that it was cancelled due to the minimum of passengers not being met.
Thoroughly disappointed in the whole episode which was supposed be one of the highlights of my stay.
Only positive note was that once requested Viator quickly processed my refund.

I'm sorry this happened. We always try to organize alternative options if for some unusual reason we cannot go out. It's by far the busiest week of the year and I'm sorry that the response was abrupt. I will look into that right now. That is not cool and very unlike my office team.
I'm happy they tried to give you an alternative though. There was another person (maybe your partner) complaining about the same cancelled tour who didn't mention that we tried to get them on an alternative day.
I'm sorry this happened.
We always refund if there's an issue.

We had an absolutely great time on our eco tour yesterday (1st December). The crew were helpful, friendly and we enjoyed everything about it - including the lunch and the rum punch. Thoroughly recommend this if you visit Antiguia

What a wonderful day, on the water, in the sun if you wanted, or under shade, five great stops, at two of which you could snorkel, and a great crew. Arion was our captain, who gave lots of good commentary, especially about turtles ... body builder Leslie was our guide at Hell's Gate and snorkeling, with Adino as well. The two highlights were the hike at Hell's Gate, which was way unique ... and snorkeling ... seeing stoplight parrot fish, and a stingray, expelling two puffs of inedible parts of crushed prey, belched out the top of its head through spiracles, like smoke from a pair of smokestacks. I wondered what it was doing, and back on the boat, Adino knew the answer. The included lunch was good ... the banana bread excellent ... the snorkeling gear and water shoes for the hike were flawless. My friends (and I) said the day was fantastic, and the highlight of our trip.

What a fantastic day we had with Leslie Tyreece and Rasheed. From the start, we were made to feel so welcome. The trip itself was very informative and interesting as were the visits to Hell's Gate and Bird Island where a lovely lunch was provided. The snorkelling opportunities were wonderful, and seeing turtles in the wild was a real highlight. If you're thinking of visiting Antigua, this trip is a must. Wonderful.

Great guides and awesome tour. We did a hike through hells gate and a long snorkel at a spot. Saw several turtles pop out of the water as well

We took the Eco Tour yesterday and had a fantastic time. Our crew were amazing, Arion, Ariel and Lesley. They took great care of us and gave us so many laughs and fascinating information. The lunch was delicious and there were plentiful drinks, juice, water, coke and on the way home, rum punch and banana bread. I loved snorkelling the reef and Ariel told me all about the fish. If you only do one thing in Antigua it should be this tour. Thank you guys, see you again soon

I highly highly highly recommend this tour. We had the 'A' Team, Arion, Ariel and Adino - what a team!
They were so informative, great fun to spend the day with and the snorkelling opportunity was just breathtaking. This was a true highlight of our holiday and I can't recommend them enough!

7 & 9 yr. olds would have no problem. There were many families with children and the only child that didn't seem to handle it well was about 3 yrs. old, so she needed to be carried a lot and wanted a nap.

6 hours. We were picked up at 8:30 at Galley Bay beach and dropped off at the beach at 2:30. Time might vary depending on where they're picking you up/dropping you off.
