La randonnée du Boiling Lake a été une expérience incroyable et représente pour moi un incontournable de la Dominique (mais nécessite un minimum de condition physique). La randonnée est particulièrement longue. Nous avons marché plus de 6 heures (sans compter le temps de pause). Au bout de 3h, j'étais au bout de ma vie (hahaha) mais le jeu en vaut vraiment la chandelle. Le paysage, la nature sont justes à couper le souffle : les montagnes immenses, la vallée de la désolation et ce fameux lac bouillant. Hubert était notre guide. Une personne très chaleureuse, professionnelle, qui sait mettre en sécurité et en confiance ses clients. J'ai été plus que ravie de vivre cette expérience avec lui.

This was my second activity with Hubert- fantastic hike, loved every moment. The nature, the color, the insight and passion about wildlife Hubert has, all enhance the experience.
Boiling lake is a great hike, there are a lot of incline/ declines. The terrain is largely laid logs as stepping stones, but on some parts there is a little bit of scrambling over rocks and walking through lakes. The trail wasn’t busy, we saw 3 other groups (circa 15 people) and helped people along the way!
On the way back, it did start to rain but again this was fantastic to hear in the rainforest and bring out your inner child to get muddy!
Overall was a fantastic hike in Dominica, definitely the highlight of my trip.

An excellent days hiking. Even though we had a lot of rain in the beginning it rather added to the experience of hiking through lush tropical forests.
The ups and downs of the hike were quite strenuous and i was tired by the end. There were a few difficult parts and a need to scramble over rocks and use available ropes to make it easier.
The view of the boiling lake was worth the effort and i would do it again. The beauty of raw nature is just amazing.
Almost as good as the boiling lake itself, we bathed in a hot water pool on the river during the journey back. We did not want to get out and would have happily spent a few hours relaxing in this magical location.
The hike was a little over 6 hours with a good walking pace. It was a great day and very memorable. Our guide Hubert was excellent, he kept us safe and he knew the path very well.

I took two tours with this company. Hubert was very responsive and helpful in the lead up to my trips. He was proactive in helping me plan a good selection of activities to make the most of my limited time in Dominica. Hubert led one tour while Antoine led another - both were informative and easy to speak to. I could definitely recommend this company for anyone looking to explore Dominica.

The operators went above and beyond for us. Firstly we booked this tour super last minute and they were very accommodating. They purchased snacks and water for us based on our requests and even provided super helpful hiking gear. The hike itself was amazing. I truly recommend this hike as a ultimate must for adventure and nature seekers. Our tour guide Chadi was very patient, knowledgeable and fun! This hike was honestly very intense, but safe. The distance was very long, but the constant breathtaking views kept you going. My wife and I are not the most fit creatures, but we made it, but still ensure that you have good fitness before you attempt, and I assure you that it’s worth it! Chadi will keep you safe and sound!

Randonnée sans guide, même si préférable d en prendre un si on est pas débrouillard. Plusieurs type de paysages, des ruisseax d eaux plus ou moins chaude dans la vallée de la desolation(prévoir maillot et serviette) et pour finir, le lac tantôt dans les nuages, tantôt découvert pour le plaisir des yeux. Un souvenir de qualité

I really enjoyed this hike. The trail goes through rain forests, along ridges with incredible panoramas, through volcanic fields, and ultimately to the engaging boiling lake. Some parts of the trail were slippery, others very rocky. Good shoes are a necessity, as is a sun hat. Our group consisted of congenial visitors between the ages of 30-60 years. Most seemed to have hiking experience. Although we proceeded at a comfortable pace one person dropped out of the hike mid way and waited in place for our return. Our guide brought along some very welcome local foods for us to sample.

We hiked the boiling lake with Peter, he was very patient with us. We are not hikers, but we did it, all the way up. The Boiling lake is fascinating, the hike to the top is beautiful. The hike requires strength, it is not for the faint hearted. We had a great time, and was sore the next day!
