Wir waren im Rahmen unserer Kreuzfahrt im wunderschönen Dominica. Die "Indian River"-Tour der Reederei war ausgebucht. Welch ein Glück. So stießen wir auf dieses Unternehmen, welches auf der "Viator"-Seite offeriert wurde.
"Indian River" wird hier ergänzt durch den "Cold Soufriere" und das sehenswerte "Fort Shirley".
Unser Tourguide Tiffany war bezaubernd. Wir hatten das Glück, während unserer Tour alleine zu sein. So hatten wir eine Privattour. Wir haben durch Tiffany viel Informatives über Dominica erfahren und auch einen privaten Einblick ins Inselleben bekommen.
Auf dem Weg zum "Cold Soufriere" kurz vor dem Ziel machten wir einen Stopp, um auf Guadeloupe und Les Saintes zu schauen. Zum Glück riss der Himmel auf, um schöne Fotos machen zu können. Einen genialen Ausblick auf die Bucht von Portsmouth und die Küste genießt man auch vom "Fort Shirley".
Die Bootsfahrt auf dem Indian River erlebten wir wieder zu zweit, viel entspannter, als die übliche Massenabfertigung. Dank Tiffany landeten wir noch in der tollen "Hi Rise Beach Bar" schräg gegenüber der Schiffsanlegestelle.
Vielen Dank für diesen wunderschönen Tag. Diese Tour ist unbedingt weiterzuempfehlen.

We spent the day with Hubert. He was personable and a great guide. He had great knowledge about Fort Shirley. We then took the boat tour up Indian River with Kevin. He was great to point out wildlife and let us take pictures. In the meantime, Hubert had lunch prepared for us, which we picked up and traveled to Cold Soufriere to eat it. He was great to share the history of the island and region. We had a wonderful day.
My only suggestion would be to call/text and let people know when you’re delayed more than 15 minutes.

Tiffany was our guide and was very knowledgeable, friendly and happy to stop for photos etc. We really enjoyed the places visited on the tour and the time allowed for the 3 places was fine. Great tour

The tour itself was very good, with the Indian River Boat trip being the highlight. Gregory our guide for that part of the tour was excellent and very knowledgeable, pointing out wildlife that none of us would have seen.
Fort Shirley was also very good, its very well kept and you have some great views.
So why only 3 stars? It would have had 4 or even 5, had it not been for the young male member of staff who thought it was acceptable to releive himself out in the open at Fort Shirley, dispite the fact there were (unmarked) restrooms at the top and 5 mins from where he was, were proper restrooms down by the entrance. When my Sister and I spoke to Tiffany about it, although she said she'd speak to him, she didn't actually seem that bothered, which makes me think k it's a regular occurrence.

I am very disturbed and embarrassed about this.
It was actually NOT a member of staff. He was filling in as a trainee shadowing Tiffany. I wish you would have sent us an email instead giving us the opportunity to respond because this is a serious matter. I called Tiffany immediately after reading your post. I can assure you, this will never happen again as the trainee will not be a part of our team.

The entire tour was fantastic, but we enjoyed most Robbie showing us the island’s sights. He ga e us a real sense of the character of Dominica.

Amazing 2 days! My husband and I spent two days with this wonderful company. We toured Indian River, Cold Soufriere and Fort Shirley on the first day and Middleham Falls and Titou Gorge on the second day. We had a fantastic time. Our guide, Hubert, was phenomenal - patient, knowledgeable, funny and clearly in love with this beautiful island. He made frequent stops along our route so we could taste some local food, such as "coconut cheese" and coconut water and to point out the varied vegetation that grows in Dominica. We felt like we were with a friend and could not have had a better time.

Wir starten in einer Kleingruppe in Roseau und brechen auf zu den vereinbarten Stops. Traumhaft schöne Natur auf dem Fluss,später im Vulkankater und auf dem Fort. Mittagessen in einem Lokal (schmeckte vorzüglich). Am späten Nachmittag zurück in Roseau. Man bekommt viele Informationen über Land/Leute und Traditionen! Kann diesen Ausflug nur wärmstens empfehlen und würde ihn wieder machen wenn ich wieder da bin :)) danke für einen tollen Tag auf Dominica

Unglaublich schöne Tour mit einer Bootsfahrt auf dem Indian River durch das Naturschutzgebiet, der Besichtigung des Vulkankraters Cold Soufriere und der Festungsanlage Fort Shirley. Die Tour hat und sehr viel Spaß gemacht und wir würden sie definitiv wieder machen!

Nous n'étions que mon amie et moi pour cette visite, seules avec notre guide Lennard. Il était juste exceptionnel, prenait le temps de répondre à toutes nos questions, nous expliquait l'histoire de la Dominique et ce qu'on voyait. Très arrangeant, il a modifié notre planning pour que nous n'ayons pas à marcher sous la pluie pour aller voir la Cold Soufrière. La balade sur l'Indian River est magique et le fort Shirley possède un très joli point de vue sur la baie. Un tour très complet et intéressant du nord de l'île. Je recommande sans hésiter !

The trip was was excellent,some problems with the lunch(included but i had to pay it)after contact for the half refunded so i'am satisfied to see a wonder of nature.....
