Very easy, yet beautiful hike with some explanation of the flora and fauna which was nice. The water was clean and the whole place was very fun, relaxing, and idyllic!

Excellent excursion for an adventurous couple and our spunky 7 year old daughter. We were lucky to have 8 in our group. Transportation was flawless, adventure but safe, and excellent restaurant suggestion. It’s not off the beaten path but let’s be real how much is these days. Tip your guides well, they earned it

It was terrible. We were picked up at our hotel at 8am and didn’t arrive at the rainforest until 10:45. Our group had 33 people in it!!! This is NOT OFF THE BEATEN PATH! And you are not avoiding large groups as advertised! You are in a large group! Because of this the hike which was only 1.3 miles round trip should have taken 1-2 hours and took 3-4. It was the worst vacation trip I’ve ever taken. If you’re looking at this and thinking is this a fun hike to get out in the jungle and explore it is not. What it is however is a hike on a path with 200 other tourists that takes you to 1 water spot to jump off 1 cliff. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Not worth $20 definitely not $80 (I added a picture so you can see how large our group was and the ridiculous vest and helmet we had to wear the whole time while everyone else of the trail wore noting

We are sorry to learn you found the tour to be terrible. This excursion used to be away from the crowds prior to Hurricane Maria in 2017. Since then many tour operators have adopted this trail, turning it into more of an adventurous experience. We no longer advertise this tour as away or to beat the crowds. We are aware the spot has become very popular in recent times and any reference to small groups has been removed . I will look further into this.
Please know, the "ridiculous vest and helmet" have saved lives. See past reviews of customers expressing how glad they were we use protective equipment, as they saw accidents happen to others who didnt. I can understand your frustration , but please be grateful you went with one of the few responsible companies who take safety seriously.

The tour guides Adrianna and Luis were amazing !! The views were unlike anything you’ve seen before. More hiking than I expected but worth it. I would recommend if you are up for adventure and not afraid of heights

This path could not have been more beaten. The trail was extremely crowded with groups. We must have passed at least 10-15 other tour groups in our short time in El Yunque. We were one of the few groups that had to wear helmets and our life vests were bulkier than many other groups.
This was not a hike, but a walk to a natural water slide and some rocks you could jump or swing from. There was little to no discussion of the jungle or its plants, animals, history, etc. The walk was 1.5 miles round trip. It took 3 hours from when we were picked up at our hotel to when we began the hike - and the park was only 45 minutes away. And while the food at the lunch stop was very good, it took an hour for everyone to get their checks.
Lots of waiting, not much hiking, overpriced and not at all like the description. We should have just rented a car and gone on our own.
This was not a hike, but a walk to a natural water slide and some rocks you could jump or swing from. My wife & I felt we lucked out with the best tour guides available! Adriana, Luis, & Mitchell were super friendly, supremely capable, and informative throughout our tour.
It was a very busy time of year for such a tour, so the considerable crowds detracted some from our time in the rainforest (hence 4/5 stars) but after seeing the other groups we were doubly confident we’d selected the best tour company and lucked out the with best guides.
After the rainforest, which is very muddy (“embrace it!”), we had ~2 hours at a beach area with lots of shops, bars, and restaurants. The food & drink were great but we wish we’d planned for that time as we were drained by the end of it.
Overall, it was a great experience - grateful to spend time outside San Juan and invigorated but the natural beauty of the rainforest. Adrianna especially was a highlight of the tour and she, Luis & Mitchel (strongest man alive lol) kept us safe while allowing us freedom to enjoy the beauty of the world experience.

pretty disappointing, was expecting a cool strenuous hike like explained in the description we walked for a mile and took turns going down a water slide and jumping, definitely was cool but not at all worth the price and the description of this does not match the actual experience

Definitely worth your time. It’s a taste of El Yunque. Unfortunately there are not any animals to see. The best part is the water slide and cliff jumps. I recommend for adults and older children. There is some serious rock climbing involved in this hike. Also make sure you come prepared with serious water/hiking shoes. Frankie was our guide and Luis the driver. Both were extremely friendly. *Bonus* My husband’s Apple Watch came off on a cliff jump and sank to the bottom. Frankie had another guide see if he could find, and he did!

This tour was totally worth it! Felix, Pito and Michel took great care of us, were very punctual and brought awesome energy! The hike into the forest is not too intense but the water activities were exhilarating and do require a moderate level of physical strength (ie. rock climbing to get to the cliffs where we jump from). Would highly recommend! Super fun day.

The whole experience start to end was amazing! From getting picked up at our hotel to getting dropped off. Our tour guide, Adriana had the BEST attitude and energy! She was informative and showed her knowledge about the area we were in. This tour is a must do and if you have the chance, request Adriana!
Don't want to spoil the experience by saying all we did, but check out our pictures! Definitely the favorite part was the climbing! Scariest, jumping!!!!!!!! But your not forced, voluntary if your brave enough.
This was tour perfect because you get started early in the morning (7:45am pick up time) and we were back at 4pm to enjoy the rest of day in Puerto Rico.
Don't want to spoil the experience by saying all we did, but check out our pictures! Definitely the favorite part was the climbing! Scariest, jumping!!!!!!!! But your not forced, voluntary if your brave enough.

Sorry for late response, not really its only a mile walk but there is a lot of mountain steps. If you don't like hills its not for you.

Can I be picked up and dropped off in different locations? My bf and I want to participate in this tour however we will be in San Juan in the morning for pick up but need to be in Fajardo at night, so wondering if this is a possibility.

I don't think so but you'd have to check. I think they offer transportation from the San Juan/Isla Verde area only.

I'm honestly not sure what the infinite water pools are, but I'll do my best. You cross a river pretty early on and hike next to it or near it for the rest of the hike. There are a series of pools, connected by waterfalls. Many of the pools are deep enough to swim in, and we did.

No, but there is plenty of swimming opportunities in the natural pools at the bottom of the waterfalls and cliffs.
Hi! Flying into San Juan and staying in Rincon next month...is this something we could stop and do along the way?

I stayed in San Juan, the tour guide picked us up from our hotel. It was about an hour drive and it’ll take a full day for this activity. Left our hotel fairly early in the morning and it was about an hour drive then got back to our hotel around 5-6pm. It is AMAZING though. If you have a day to spare I HIGHLY recommend. The tour guides were amazing and the experience itself is so much fun and breathtaking. One of my favorite things I did in PR.
