Yamille was fabulous! We had a large group of 11 with a mix of adults and teenagers. We had her all to ourselves and she was great. Very knowledgeable and took us all around the forest and even went on the rope swing and rode the rock waterfall with a few us even though the water was faster than normal. We had a great time and want to explore the caves with her the next time we come back! We highly recommend!

Yamile was an awesome guide! She took us into the actual El Yunque forest and showed us multiple things not normally seen on these tours. She was very communicative and flexible on schedule since we had 2 little ones with use. Overall it was a fantastic tour and she really went out of her way to make sure we had a good time while providing a lot of interesting information about every place we went! Plus she took a ton of photos for us so we could just focus on having a good time. We will definitely be back again to do her other tours!

Yamile was so sweet and fun. The slides were so cool. She did a great job explaining how to make sure you don't get hurt on the rock slide, and it looks scary but it's actually very welcoming if you listen to Yamile's instructions. We were with one other family, but it felt like una familia with the vibe created by the camaraderie of everyone. Leave your mind open and you will have one of the best days of your lives with the adventure. Our little ones, Theo and Ellie (7&9) had a great time, had fun on the rope swing and did the smaller rock slide. They handled it very well. Almuerzo was very good at La Perilla! The beach was a nice little touch at the end, but the whole adventure was fuera de este mundo!!!!

We had a great time. Going to the river with the rope swing was one of the best experiences we’ve had on any of our vacations. It was beautiful and Yamile was awesome. I only wish we had time to do her cave tour. Any tour with her will be a great one!

This is such a chill and beautiful excursion. We did a lengthy caves excursion with Yamilla days before and decided to cancel our 12hr rain forrest excursion with another company to do another with her (that says a lot about her!). It's comfortable strolls, tons of info about trees, plants, and animals via Yamilla's vast knowledge of her beloved country. Lunch at a place of your choice within this big strip mall on the beach, then an hour at the ocean.... it was a lovely day out that I'll never forget. It's also pretty cool to get out of Old San Juan and see surrounding cities, dwellings, and landscape..... who doesn't like roads trips to see the country side :)

The tour was amazing. The kids still talk about the waterfall slides. Yamile was a wonderful guide. Her knowledge, patience and friendliness was unmatched and she made the excursion a family adventure. Her engagement during the tour created a shared experience with both families on the tour and the young ones are staying in touch. It was a great day all the way around, thanks to Yamile.

A+ experience. Yamile "Adopted us" her family for the day and treated us like family the entiure time! She is very energetic and knowledgeable about Puerto Rico and has a true passion for what she does. The experience itself was well planned. The Rain forest with the rope swing, cliff jump, and rock slide was great. The lunc spot was awesome, and the beach was perfect. Well done Yamile!

What an amazing way to spend the day. Yamile is an awesome guide. From the minute that you are picked up, you feel like you were being taken to all of the best places by a friend or family member who knows all of the secrets. The name says it all, "Puerto Rico as a Local" as you feel like one after spending the the day with a guide who is so passionate about her job and is so eager to share her love and knowledge of Puerto Rico with you like a friend. When we go back, we will look for "Puerto Rico as a Local" tours before any others.

Hey I made my deposit for the rain forest
My card declined this morning
The issue is fixed now I was wondering how do I go about paying for the remaining? Do I book again

Hi Deonna. For all inquiries about payment and booking information about a specific reservation you should call directly TripAdvisor Customer Service since the booking was done through them and they will be able to help you more efficiently. Thanks.

There is no set meeting point. Pick-ups are offered on selected hotels on the touristic areas of Old San Juan, Isla Verde and Condado. If you are staying outside these areas, then depending on where you are staying, a meeting point will be provided. Thanks

How do you get a refund? Cause we paid with the auto payment option and was told to be ready 10am the 27th and yet no one showed up?

Hello. I think you are confusing the company.
This company did not had any Rainforest tour scheduled or booked for December 27th and no company was supposed to, because it was on a Sunday and in PR we had a mandatory lockdown on Sundays until last January 7.
Actually I did not offer that tour for weeks due to the latest Executive Orders and began re-offering the tour starting on January 8. Also my pick-ups start at 8:00am.
You should contact TripAdvisor/Viator Customer Service so you can inquiry about the correct company and get help with your refund.
Hope you get your situation resolved.

Hello. You will need your swimsuit, comfortable clothes like shorts and good sturdy water shoes or sneakers (no flip flops or sandals). If you make a booking I always call all the customers to go over the details of the tour.
However, due to some restrictions in PR one of the swimming areas that I visit will remain closed until December 11, so I will not offer the tour until then.
