Booked this excursion for March 2nd because it was the itinerary that I wanted and had good reviews. Well, NO ONE SHOWED UP TO TAKE US ON OUR TOUR! There was 3 people in our party. My friend actually spoke with Jose by phone on Feb. 19th to confirm that there was availability for our date. He gave her specific directions on exactly where he would meet us to pick us up. We arrived and waited well over an hour past the time that he said he would be there. The parking lot attendant contacted him for us and he acted like he had no idea that he had a booking. She asked if he was coming and he wouldn’t commit. The attendant tried to get us on another tour, but none had space for us. Needless to say, I do not recommend this tour operator and am disappointed that Viator is affiliated with him.

I apologize for the inconvenience. I was not on the island and I had arrangements made for your party to do the exact same tour with another tour operator . Unfortunately that tour operator at the last minute decide not to uphold the arrangement. This all took place after I spoke to your friend. The phone conversation you are aware of that morning was me desperately trying to make other arrangements for you. None the less I apologize for the inconvenience cause. I do not practice operating in this way. As a tour operator with a 5 star rating this is not indicative of the way my company operates. I do appreciate your review none the less as it has taught me a valuable lesson in trusting others. And will only motivate double the fun tours in preventing a situation like this from ever happening again. I sincerely hope that you enjoyed your visit to our island despite this unfortunate incident.

We did a tour with Jose when we stopped in St. Maarten/Martin during our cruise.
The experience was amazing, we all had a great time and couldn’t have imagined a better day on the island.
Jose was very knowledgeable about the island, it’s history, and made the experience very entertaining. Jose was very personable and by the end of the tour, we consider him a friend.
If you’re looking for a great way to get to see all of the beauty and history of St. Maarten, along with great company, I would highly recommend booking with Jose “Double the Fun Tours”!

From start to finish my best friend and I had an amazing trip. We contacted Jose via email and whats app. He was courteous and professional with our pickup and drop off to airport for a reasonable price. During our trip we paid for a tour or day trip to Friars Bay beach, and Mullet Beach. We ate delicious local food and he made recommendations on places we should visit. Finally we had a boating day with lunch at a local place and had good music, safe driving of the boat and weather. I even learned to snorkel a little. I am a nervous person. Definitely reach out to him to make the trip memorable

Jose made our trip to St.Maarten a special one to remember! Even though our ship arrived three hours late he was there to welcome 6 fellow Texans with his big grin! He has a deep love and appreciation for his new home! We enjoyed his historical facts about the island as well as his philosophy of life. Wish we had had more time to enjoy the beautiful island, but we will be back! Thanks again for a five star experience!!

Jose’ is the best!! He picked us up in a comfortable air conditioned SUV, and made sure that everyone on the tour got to do what they wanted. He knows everyone on the island and has friends everywhere. You will not be disappointed if you book with Double the Fun Tours. We can’t wait to return and will definitely call Jose’ again!

We had a great time with Jose at double the fun tours! This was a more personal tour which allowed for some flexibility, it was exactly what we were looking for. He is an amazing host and we enjoyed his stories. We are grateful for this special day.

Really enjoyed our tour. Jose is very personable and friendly and knows St. Maarten well. Can't recommend his Double the Fun Tour enough. We had a lot of fun and the beach at the end was the best of our whole cruise.

Jose' was great. He is a very friendly person who is extremely knowledgeable about the island even though he if from the states.
He customized the entire day just for the two of us and allowed us to do everything we wanted, including some excellent island cuisine in a place the "locals" go.
I would strongly recommend him to anyone who wants a great tour of St. Martin.

We have had the pleasure of touring twice on the island of St. Maarten with Jose for a reasonable price. This trip we toured the entire island (French and Dutch side), ate lunch at Rosemaries (ribs and rice were delish), visited Maho Beach (overcrowded with tourist) and then enjoyed Mullet beach (peaceful and beautiful) for the afternoon before entering the cruise ship. Jose is well informed of the islands history and also gives you the opportunity to see local places. He explained the troubles the island has endured from Hurricane Irma. He has a great spirit and knows how to have fun. We toured in a 14 passenger air conditioned van. We would do this tour every time with Jose and love the island of St. Maarten.

After docking at the port in St.Maarten and waiting over 45 minutes looking for our tour guide, we were finally directed to this white tent. We had someone call the Guide and we were told that he flew out to California for a death in the family. We had no prior notice, text, email, etc. So we were stranded. After several phone calls we were able to get a guide to take us around the Island (howard). Time lost was already over 1 hour , so our time touring the Island was limited. Yesterday I called the guide and we spoke for several minutes. He explained that he had no way of contacting us but he left instructions for another tour guide to take us around the Island. He explained that he would have not left without making alternative plans for us. I believed him, When he got back from California he asked the alternative guide how everything went and he was told , "very well!" . I believed him to be sincere and apologetic , if you see a bad review., please get all the facts. We are receiving a full refund. As he explained , he did not get a 5 star rating by being unprofessional.

Thank you for your review and understanding. And again I apologize for the mishap. I will make plans with TripAdvisor/Viator to have meeting instructions printed on future reservation vouchers. I think this will help greatly in the future for clients and operation times.
