It’s unfair to the individuals that run the caves to be associated with this review, CAYTOURS is a joke and a nightmare to work with, find a different company to book your visit with.

Was met in the port after a shuttle from the Royal Caribbean Brilliance of the Seas. The bus to the caves took about an hour and a half. We were met by a man named Irchin who was a descendant of the founders of the community. He gave us the historical background to the area before the bus took us back to the caves. We were guided through the caves by Edwardo who did an excellent job and volunteered to take photos. After the caves we went to the Pedro St James house where an introduction was provided in a multi media theater. The house is three stories with lots of stairs. Like the caves, this is not a good tour for handicapped individuals. The tour completed with a rum tasting which was fine. Food was offered for purchase but we did not try any. This was a great tour for anyone with moderate mobility.

The caves were an amazing sight. The local guide took us through three caves. The caves are only a few steps under the surface. The caves are well lit and paths are easy to walk upon.
The castle and grounds are immaculate. It’s not really a castle. It is a restored three story mansion with associated support structures such as an outdoor kitchen.
We recommend taking the guided tour from the local guides.

The tour operator with Viator did not explain this tour is not appropriate for individuals with a disability. My husband suffers from multiple sclerosis and Caytours refused to give me and my husband a full refund when we notified them of his inability to walk for 90 minutes due to his disease. Shame on them! We have spent hours today speaking with Nancy at Caytours and Viator —this is our vacation and we are completely baffled by the complexity of decent customer service and just doing the right thing.

Great History lesson and very much worth seeing. Theresa was our guide and gave us so much information about Pedro St. James and the history of The Grand Cayman Island’s democracy.

A group of 8 of us booked this excursion on our cruise ship. The history of the "castle" is interesting. We also had a rum tasting, along with other alcohol they produce. The caves were nice, its a nice walk and the guides were very informative and nice. There was no food on our tour so after we were dropped off at our port we took a walk to the left and found a local restaurant with super fresh seafood. They have other things on the menu too! (Cayman Cabana Oceanside Restobar)

This was a great cave to tour. I do feel we missed out on so much. Our group was very large and we were to the back and couldn’t hear or see what the tour guide was pointing to or talking about. I would suggest inquiring about group size before booking this excursion.
