Our guide Dujohn(sp?) and his wife, Jocilynn, were exceptional tour guides. We explored the island a bit years ago but were able to see so much more on this trip as Dujohn let us decide on a few stops. You should opt to go to the fort as this is where you will have some of the best views and photos! Book this tour with Dujohn and you will not be disappointed.

This was a great tour. My wife and I were the only two on the tour and the operator customized the tour to meet our needs, so we could see exactly what we wanted. Unlike most tours we were able to spend as much time as we wanted in each location. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone going to

Verona was our guide and she was great. She hit up every place I had on my list with plenty of time to have a beach break. She timed every stop so we could manage to get it all in. She knows the island very well. Its a long way around the island so be ready for a ride. I will def use her again on my next port stop. Thanks Verona.

Our driver Verona was extremely knowledgeable of all of the island's attractions and history. Her van was comfortable & extremely clean. We saw sights with her that were not covered by the train tour. The rain forest, churches, forts and more were enjoyable. We even got a close up of the black beaches along with the history of the slave trade and exactly where the ships landed. We also toured a very special church where we learned the history of the pastor who wrote Amazing Grace in 1776. I highly recommend her services for anyone going to St Kitts.

If you are planning a trip to St Kitts, touring the island is a must, but the professional tours are a waste of time and money. The van in whcih we toured had small, dirty windows. We could not see out of the van at buildings or tall monuments. What was worse, the driver breezed by land marks and buildings and before we could look out, we were gone.
TIP: Hire a taxi to take you on a tour of the island. Executive Taxi run by Raphael Jacob provided an excellent experience. The dirivers were knowledgeable and stopped for as long as you liked to get out and take pictures.

We booked this tour online. Site says the tour is at 9:00, but our ship did not get in until 10:00. But, they were very accommodating, arranging to meet us at 11:00. Verona was early, meeting us at the easy to find designated spot...walk out of the port and the shop is right in front of you on the left hand side. The best part, when they say PRIVATE, they mean private. We were the only ones on the tour. Max is 5 people. So, with a map of the island, we talked about what to do for the day.
After an informative short walking tour of the downtown area, checking out the historical buildings downtown, we hopped into the van. Did I mention it was a new Nissan mini van with all the bells & whistles?
We went completely around the island with Verona giving an informative narrative all along the way. We went hiking in the rain forest with Kevin, an amazing man who grew up in the area and shared all of the hidden areas he played in as a boy. He cracked open fresh almonds for us with a rock and pointed out interesting plants and animals. After sharing a beer with him, we hopped back in the car with Verona. and continued our Island Tour. Stopping briefly at significant sights along the way. She then took us to an amazing beach...with hardly anyone there where we swam in the crystal clear 84 degree Caribbean Sea. It was AMAZING!!! She gave us the choice how long to stay at the beach. So, when we were done, we got her out of the car and made her sit at the bar with us and have a drink. (She had soda) Then we went to Timothy Hill with an incredible view of both the Caribbean and the Atlantic Ocean. We didn't go earlier because she said it would be crawling with tourists. We were the only ones there.
Verona was a personable and knowledgeable guide who could answer all of our questions. I think she knew everyone on the island. A very safe driver too, because that whole driving on the wrong side of the road is very confusing, especially going what looked like the wrong way in the round abouts!!!
We can only hope that the rest of tours I chose for the other islands we are visiting can measure up to this one.
Thanks Verona, we enjoyed our day with you...if you EVER make it to Flagstaff, AZ we would LOVE to give you a tour of the The Grand Canyon.

I am considering booking the "Exotic Island Tour" but cannot find information on how long the tour goes for - how long would it be and would pick up and drop off be at the cruise ship? Is payment on the day of the tour?

Its 4 hours long per schedule part of info and you pay online and print info and bring with you. They pick up up at cruise port as well. I got all that from info on trip advisor.
