Perfect day in St John
Capt Jay and first mate Mia were wonderful! They made our full day sail very special. We sailed from Cruz Bay to Reef Bay to hike up to the petroglyphs and see the ruins. Along the way we were served drinks and a tasty snack. After our easy hike we snorkeled a nearby reef seeing many of God’s amazing creatures: turtles, fish, rays and healthy fan coral. Once back on board we were served a yummy lunch. Our group enjoyed sitting on the bow of the sailboat as we leisurely sailed back to Cruz Bay. We were served a delicious rum punch and thoroughly enjoyed the breeze and views.
I would highly recommend Capt Jay and his beautiful sail boat. A must do for a trip to St John!

Ahhhh!

The trip was breathtaking, snorkeling was spectacular. We saw a bunch of squid, nurse shark, a few sting rays.
Captain Jay was a lovely guy nice and chill but right on top of keeping us all happy. Mia was great easy going and provided us with all the answers.
It was a great time with some old and new friends.

Half day sail plus snorkeling was great.

Our group did an afternoon sail and snorkeling trip that was just beautiful. There was plenty of wind and we were under sail most of the trip and the Helios was flying. Lots of fun sitting up front and just watching the water go by. We did one snorkeling stop at Caneel Bay, which is a great place to go. We had almost the whole bay to ourselves and saw a pair a green turtles feeding in the bay, along with a great reef and lots of fish. With the wind there was a bit of swell, so not ideal for snorkeling, but Captain Jay was very accommodating. We had a friend who was not comfortable swimming from the boat, so he ferried them to shore in the dingy and offered to take us all back. The boat was fully equipped with snacks and drinks and we all felt very well taken care of.

Fabulous Sailing Day on Helios!

We absolutely loved our day sail with Captain Jay and Mia who were both so warm and welcoming! Captain Jay is extremely knowledgeable and has many interesting stories to tell. Mia was wonderful snorkeling with us and catered to our every need on the boat. The food and drinks were great. We loved sitting up front in the beanbags and relaxing with a drink as we sailed along taking in the amazing scenery. The day sail was our absolute favorite thing we did while visiting St. John. We highly recommend sailing on the beautiful Helios.

Don't Miss Sail Helios!

Captain's Jay and Mia were amazing! They are so knowledgeable about St John and provided us with an unforgettable experience. We had great snacks and drinks as well as were able to snorkel in a location only reachable by boat. I highly recommend Sail Helios and plan to do it again the next time we are on St John.

Wonderful 1/2 day with Sail Helios

Our party of 8 took the 1/2 day sail with Captain Jay on Helios in St John. It was a wonderful afternoon and fantastic way to end our vacation. Some of the group had a great time snorkeling in a quiet cove. They served us a lovely charcuterie platter with some cocktails. Captain Jay is very experienced and professional and I would recommend him highly.

Fun afternoon
The boat was very comfortable and Captain Jay was very knowledgeable as well as accommodating. We only did the 1/2 day trip but the sail was fun, we snorkeled as we had requested, and the charcuterie was delicious. First Mate Jill was very pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable, and an excellent bar tender. We would recommend this trip with this crew.

Perfect sail on a classic boat!

Capt Jay and his mate, Mia, are all about giving his guests a great experience! We anticipated sailing to a couple of snorkeling spots with a stop for lunch at Lovango in between. After the first snorkeling stop, which was fantastic (he only goes to places accessible by boat), we sailed the long way around to Lovango. We are avid sailors, so he invited us to drive the boat and only offered suggestions on navigation. After a fantastic lunch at Lovango, we spent the rest of our time sailing around enjoying the beautiful setting in the waters of the Virgin Islands. It was a beautiful day on a beautiful boat. Helios is a 1975 Hinkley 48' yawl that Jay is restoring. She sailed beautifully and was a very comfortable ride. I would highly recommend sailing with Jay on Helios if you're considering it!

Awesome Day on a Classic Yacht!
Awesome daysail on a beautiful classic yacht! We contacted Captain Jay about going for a sail after arriving in St John and he quickly responded. We booked a half day sail. After he picked us up at the ferry landing, we asked if he would have any issue with simply sailing for the afternoon. He immediately accommodated our request. We then spent the next few hours joyfully sailing this beautiful yacht in the idyllic waters between St John and St Thomas. A perfect day underway on a lovely yacht!
