We took the boat from margarita ville ferry, they were on time. No one called our our tour name or anything so most of us from the group was a little lost so we stayed together also half the people didn’t know if our boat was ready to go out so we had to chase the group we saw leaving to confirm and then tried to catch them up.
The tour guide was great!!! Very informative we learnt about some history of the island we got to saw lots of celebrities homes the boat ride was better than being on the actual island.
Once we got to island we started to snorkel right away. If you have never snorkeled before and need more of a one on one experience this is not the one. It felt rushed and then we were called out the water because a ship with other people had just arrived. The water was beautiful we saw very few fishes but if u dived under u would see much more. A lot of us had to figure out to to breathe with the mask on on our own and that took a minute before we got comfortable in the water. The whole snorkeling experience lasted 20 mins max out of 5 hours.
Lunch wasn’t ready until an hour after we were told it would be ready we had bbq chicken, rice and beans. Fried fish a slaw. Other from that there wasn’t much to do we sat around for the next couple hours until our boat came back. Maybe it was a slow day so they didn’t do much activities. While our boat was getting ready to leave others from the ship joined us and left early because there wasn’t much to do on the actual island…and again the boat ride back was awesome. That tour guide I wish he had told us his name he did a great job.

The view from the island is amazing, and when we went, there were plenty of spots to relax, but I'll piggyback other reviews.. First, the snorkeling excursion was unforgettable, not in a good way. After an incredibly short briefing by a guy who said he was a certified life guard who also said (unjokingly) that he can't swim, we put our life vests around our waists and were taken to the flippers and then a pail containing the snorkel masks/ breathing tubes, told to grab one and rinse off the sanitizer solution it was soaking in, put everything on, and get into the water, which was from a ledge into choppy water. There was no instruction on how to use the equipment, so everyone just went along with it. Shortly after I got in the water, I tried looking underwater and had a really difficult time breathing. When I finally thought I had it figured out, my snorkel completely filled with salt water and I was able to come up and breath, but the choppy waters, mixed with not being able to touch the ocean floor and having the life vest around my waist had me feeling like I was going to drown if I stayed any longer. My wife also had issues with her snorkel taking in a lot of water, and she was scared to go underwater after that. I swam back to the starting point, and on my way back, one of the flippers fell off. While I was securing the flipper, the waves kept pushing me around and scraped up my legs, causing some minor bleeding. When I exited the water, the instructor told me that I had my life vest too tight around my waist and may have caused the breathing issues. (That would have been nice to know beforehand). Not many others had issues that I'm aware of, and children were doing fine. The lunch was okay for my wife and I, but picky eaters would have gone hungry until they got back on the cruise ship. There was minimal water available, so make sure and take some with you. I gave two stars instead of one because the scenery was beautiful, and the 30 seconds or so that I got to look underwater was amazing. If you know how to snorkel and better yet, have your personal gear that you trust, maybe you'll have a better time. Also know that once you're on the island, you cannot leave until your designated time when the boat comes to pick you up, regardless of how bored you may be.

This excision was just ok. I felt we didn’t get to snorkel very long. We were rushed into the water and rushed out. We didn’t even get to explore very long. The staff was very nice.
The food was not very good, and very minimal. We had other things to do like kayak and swim but we were bored and wanted to leave but we couldn’t because our boat was gone. We all get this wasn’t as fun as we were hoping and would not recommend anyone to do this. Try other excursions for the same money or even a little more.

This was awesome! The snorkeling was so cool and the guides were in the water with us.
The island itself is gorgeous, clean, and the bluest waters I have ever seen.
The lunch they served was very tasty and fresh.
Plenty to do on the island and it was such a great photo opportunity for selfies or family shots.
Highly recommend.

We booked the snorkel and lunch through our cruise line. Day of activity was August 13. Pros: There's plenty of beach, lounge chairs, and water fun available and the staff were friendly and helpful to us. The snorkeling was so-so, in that you had limited time and space and it wasn't as pretty as I've seen other similar places, but it was perfect for beginners. Con: The real problem was our boat ride back to the ship. Something was wrong with the vessel and the crew was never up front about it. What should have been a 30 minute ride back to the ship was an hour-plus meandering crawl. Every time they tried to go faster, it was obvious something was amiss. We had to either be dragging something or possibly lost an engine. When asked, the crew just kept saying "we're solid" and then finally disappeared all together. Those of us on the 2nd deck were completely exposed to the elements, and with no breeze since we were crawling the whole way, we BAKED. This wasn't simply a comfort issue, it was quickly a safety issue with people using any means possible to get shelter from the oppressive sun and heat. Most folks were using their beach towels to cover up, that's all we had available. The crew offered us no water and no explanation, and then seemed miffed when the tip jar didn't fill up. All in all, it was unacceptable.

The island was a good experience but the crew that accompanied us was very disorganized and let “bigger” group (mainly adults) go in front of the line while many of us were already standing and waiting in line. This was not very good customer service because I feel that we all are there and waiting our turns, plus we all paid good money for this attraction to be treated that way.

We had a wonderful time, the staff was very helpful. There was a lot to do while at Pearl Island, including kayaks and paddle boards, the snorkeling was beautiful, and lunch was delicious!

We went on 2 August, unfortunately, it turned out to be a rather mixed experience. The day began with confusion right from the start, as the departure location was changed from Nassau to the ferry terminal on Paradise Island. To make matters worse, several other tours were departing from the same spot, making it difficult to discern which group to join.
We were supposed to leave at 10:30, but the departure was delayed by an hour without any clear explanation. The lack of proper communication made it challenging to understand what was going on. Throughout the day, we were left to our own devices, as there were minimal directions or guidance provided. The only mention of a gathering spot was a rushed announcement to regroup at 2:50. Pearl Island itself was beautiful, offering picturesque surroundings and pleasant waters for snorkeling. However, there were inconsistencies in the way different activities were handled. For instance, at one spot, we had to attend a presentation before snorkeling, while at another, we were simply allowed to get into the water. The underwater props provided were somewhat hokey, failing to live up to our expectations. Additionally, the limited availability of paddle boards and kayaks was disappointing. With only three of each for a considerable number of visitors, it led to long waits and less time enjoying the activities we had hoped for. The souvenir prices were steep, making it difficult to justify purchasing anything from the island. At lunchtime, we encountered yet another inconvenience - there were no forks available. While the food was good, eating without proper utensils was a challenge. On a positive note, they did provide water, which was a relief during the hot day. The employees were friendly, but they seemed overwhelmed and understaffed, leaving little room for engaging with customers or addressing their needs effectively. The departure from the island was chaotic, with a mass of confusion among visitors trying to leave. In the end, we managed to make the most of our day on Pearl Island, despite the delayed morning departure and lack of advertised duration for the excursion. The island offered plenty of chairs and cool hammocks for relaxation, which was a plus. While I can appreciate the potential of the excursion, I find it difficult to recommend without knowing if our experience was an exception or representative of the usual service. It was disappointing that no compensation was offered for the inconveniences we faced. The excursion to Pearl Island had its highlights, like the beautiful location and enjoyable activities, but the lack of organization, inconsistent information, and overpriced souvenirs hindered the overall experience and made it hard to justify the expense. I hope that the tour operators take these issues into consideration and improve their services for future visitors.

Very good excursion. Snorkeling was a blast and we saw so many different species of fish. I was even lucky enough to see a lemon shark as well. Cant wait to try this again.

Hi I see full cancellation up to one day before with full refund. I also see it say no refund when reserving/purchasing. Which is it?

I'm booked for an 11am departure and I know the tour is 5 hours so does that mean, I start going back on the ferry from Pearl Island about 3 or 3:30 to be back at 4pm or does that mean the ferry leaves from Pearl Island at 4pm?

5 hours includes all traveling. You leave the Island around 3:15

Hi we are going to be doing your tour and was wondering if we can bring our own snorkeling gear?
We did just 2 weeks ago. They do provide nice equipment (mask, snorkel, flippers) that have been soaked in disinfectant. We enjoyed using our own equipment to snorkel in the swimming area to look for shells. Lovely island.
I’m in a wheelchair but very active I can transfer and swim I was a lifeguard for many years before becoming permanently wheelchair bound I cannot walk at all. So is this excursion really wheelchair accessible (like it says) so I can swim with my daughter and all the beautiful marine life

Caveat up front: I did not like this excursion. But to be honest, I don't think this would work well with a wheelchair. If I recall, the paths around the island are fairly narrow and not completely paved. The snorkeling and marine life are accessed by going down a ladder in small groups and then swimming out with snorkel gear. The "beach" was small and limited to a roped off section near the dock. With a lot of people kayaking and paddle boarding, the area was also kind of crowded so not a lot of fish to see. The boat we took to the island was just an open area with a roof and some narrow benches to sit on, so that's another consideration.
I hate to be a naysayer; if you're staying in a resort see if they have any recommendations.
