Baldo was a fabulous tour guide in Acapulco. We spent the morning and afternoon learning about the history of this once glitz and glamour city, seeing the Acapulco Beverly Hills where JFK and Liz Taylor, John Wayne… frequently visited and then witnessed the infamous cliff divers from a premier table overlooking the cliffs while we ate lunch. There were 7 of us all different levels of ability and he accommodated us all. Cold waters upon arrival. A generous soul. His van was comfortable. His English was perfect and we loved learning and getting the lay of the land. Tourism has really taken a hit since the hurricane a few years ago. We felt very safe overall. We hired Baldo Gomez to show us the city of Acapulco. Whatever we wanted to do, Baldo made it happen! We felt safe, saw the entire city, the new and the old. Capilla de la Paz on a hillside, 1,200 feet above sea level, was beautiful and had a grand view of the Bay of Acapulco. He then secured the best table at La Perla restaurant where we ate (delicious food) and watched the magnificent Cliff Divers. Our price was reasonable, and compared to the shore excursion offered by our cruise ship, less expensive, more flexible and better accomodations to view the cliff diving. We recommend Baldo for any tour big or small, shore excursion or week visit. He will take care of you and keep you entertained and safe. Baldo Gomez, email: baldo-work@hotmail.com. This tour is a must see when you visit Acapulco. Our kids range in age from teenager to early twenties, 1 boy and 2 girls. It’s tough to keep them all interested in the same things but this tour does that. Rudy and Alfonso are the BEST team. Our tour was in a clean,spacious, air conditioned 12 passenger van. They were prompt in picking us up from our resort and immediately began sharing their knowledge and insights about Acapulco as we were driving off the grounds. We learned so much about the history of Acapulco and loved hearing about the Mexican history that we don’t learn about in America. One thing we loved was seeing the authentic Acapulco, not just the tourist areas. The views are truly breath taking. The market was filled with so much it was hard to take it all in. They drove through the market and even let us purchase fruit and snacks from inside the van. They were so accommodating when we expressed what we wanted to see or do. Although we did not think we wanted to see the cliff divers, I’m so glad that we did. It was amazing and we even got to experience some Junior cliff divers. The 4 hours goes by so fast as Rudy and Alfonso keep a good pace to make sure you see everything, but we never felt rushed. I honestly don’t know what we liked the most. It was a great way to start our visit to Acapulco.

Our tour guides were excellent! They made sure we had a great time and were very attentive to our needs. They showed us parts of Acapulco that the average tourist may not see. The market was very interesting…saw the inner workings of a local bakery and got to meet the owner and sample some baked goods, had a cooking lesson in a local restaurant and went to a piñata “factory”, small family business making and selling piñatas. All in all, a very good day!!

We really enjoyed being with Jose. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The city is very interesting my favorite was the chapel. The bakery he took us to was delicious

We had a great tour of Acapulco! Our tour operator Jose L. Peralta spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable of Acapulco history. It was also nice that Jose took pictures of my husband and I on the tour which we received as a slideshow afterwards. Highly recommend this tour!

We were met at the cruise port by Rudy and Balfre and although we'd booked a small group tour in a van, we were fortunate enough to have a private tour by car with Balfre.
Balfre was very friendly and had brilliant local knowledge. He took us to every corner of Acapulco and finished off the tour with a trip to see the famous Acapulcan divers. They were spectacular.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Acapulco.
