What a fantastic tour this is!
This company has thought of everything, and this was the highlight of our trip. First you start with a quick safety lesson and then you take the ATVs through the street and small neighborhoods of PV. Then you go up a couple of mountains with a midway stop at a amazing pool and natural area you can jump and take a splash in! After that, you have drive down to the river where you can eat at their restaurant (which is beautiful) and learn how to make tortillas and drink Tequila. After that you make your way back to town with amazing views of the city and water. Oh and did I mention that there is a photographer along the way that captures everything for you! Octavio and Robert were fantastic and my friend and I had so much fun. We will definitely be back!

Agustina was an amazing tour guide as she made us feel comfortable, was super funny, and kind! The tour contains beautiful views of mountains, rivers, and the city of PV! Lunch was amazing with tequila tasting which was so authentic we had to bring one home! Will be back on our next trip for sure! Make sure to ask for Agustina!

We booked a private ATV tour with Xiutla Riders on May 11, 2023. Edson was our guide and it was the best full three hour ATV experience! The ride started from their shop and while there was some traffic to negotiate on the way out of town, Edson kept safety top of mind and we never had any problems. It was interesting riding along the cobblestone streets before traversing the countryside, passing livestock and taking in mountain scenery. We also stopped to rest at a restaurant that had a full bar and tequila tasting before continuing up the twisting and dusty dirt roads. After leaving the country side, we also stopped at a lighthouse with an entire view of the bay. We would definitely recommend Xiutla Riders as a great tour operator for an ATV ride! Ask for Edson!!!

Our guides were so awesome! We had an amazing trip through the town of Puerto Vallarta to a family owned agave farm/tequila bar in the mountains. Highly recommend checking this tour out! We were a group of 10 ladies on a bachelorette party and first time driving atv’s for 8 of us, we got a quick and easy lesson from the guides and all had so much fun!! Awesome group activity. They took photos for us and they were such a great way to keepsake the day.

This was a great adventure. I’m a bit nervous on 4 wheelers when the terrain isn’t ideal, but our guide Edgar was awesome!! After our ride up the mountain, for food and Tequila tasting, he took us through some beautiful neighborhoods we never would have seen otherwise. And our photographer was amazing. I don’t usually buy the photos, but he went above and beyond to get some shots. We came around 1 corner and he was up in a tree 😄. I definitely bought them. I would highly recommend this tour just for those 2 alone. Don’t hesitate, book this!!

We had a good experience with Xiutla Riders on April 27, 2023. We did a private ATV tour with the guide Edson. Our ride was on Honda ATVs that were easy to ride. The ride starts from in town and you head for the back country on the streets of PV. There is some traffic to negotiate on the way out. The east side of PV was interesting to see, riding along the cobble stone streets and residential streets. They locals are remarkably tolerant of some ATVs zooming by. We then started on the dirt roads and, since this was closer to the dry season, the roads were dusty. About 7 kilometers out and we stopped at a little rest stop (we only got water but they had a full bar and would have loved to sell you some tequila). Then a long segment up twisting and dusty dirt roads. Pretty fun but you never really get to cut loose. The final stop was at another rest stop called La Palapa. Once again, we only got water but you could have had a sit down lunch, drinks from a full bar or sat in a hot springs pool (for 650 pesos). The ride back was long and mostly downhill (so you had to go a little slower). When we got back to PV, Edaro took us back through a part of PV we had not seen before. There was some urban PV traffic to negotiate but it went fine. We had a good. Edaro is a solid guide and we never had any problems. Xiutla Riders is great place to rent an ATV and for a ride!

This tour took us up the winding streets of PVR on very capable ATVs, and then out into the hills and mountains overlooking the city. We booked last-minute, and for a holiday, and the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The ATVs were in excellent mechanical condition (safety first, when you’re coming down out of the mountains!), and worked well for us (we each drove our own - highly recommended). The tour began in the city’s streets but soon left the hustle behind as we moved into suburbs and finally onto dirt roads.
We stopped here and there for directions from our guide, Edson, and our first true stop was at “Rancho Mi Abuelo,” which is a truly peaceful place up a windy road. It was a bit early, but the ranch was open and serving cold drinks, breakfast, and (if you are so inclined) tequila. We had a personal tour from one of the owners, Luis. It’s incredibly peaceful if you get there before the bigger tours. They showed us how they were preparing salsa for the evening crowd, and we even got to make tortillas (and each them - delicious).
After the ranch, we backtracked a bit and headed higher into the jungle. At one point you can look across the valley and see “the other guys’” long ATV suspension bridge. I’m sure it’s cool to say you drove an ATV across the longest ATV suspension bridge… Well, actually… maybe not. The impact on the land and forest around the bridge was obvious, and I’m glad we didn’t support that outfit.
Our guide led us deeper into the mountains until we arrived at a family farm. We saw two nesting pairs of parakeets and a little village. The views were stupendous - while just a dirt road, this used to serve as a major highway for years and is still traveled.
The return to PVR was interesting. It’s always a new perspective as soon as you turn around and head back, and I’m always inclined to look at something different. The 3 hour tour we took was a bit of a sample - Xiuitla Riders has a longer 5-hour ride that I would also recommend, as you can get much deeper into the forest.
As we returned, we took a side trip to view the lighthouse, which offered great views of PVR’s downtown (Centro) and beach area.
Bottom line: 1) I’d do this trip again in a heartbeat, if not the longer tour; 2) Edson and the staff were very patient and helpful, and took great care of us as we traveled through PVR traffic, 3) the machines are well-maintained (maybe a bit dusty, but mechanically sound). I highly recommend this tour and this company!

I believe they have 2 or 3 different time options. When you go to book before you pay it should let you choose what time you would like

That's a good question - I'm not sure since my group was all older. The shop is closeby in town, maybe once you land you can swing in and ask before making your reservation? They speak good English and are very friendly, I feel like as long as you don't have a small child it would be okay.

I booked this attraction but have now discovered we won't be in that city on the day I booked. I have tried to cancel but did not get a cancellation confirmation. I tried emailing and messaging the company but have not received anything from them. Any other ideas so I won't get charged

You're probably okay to arrive and then book as long as you do it in the first few days you're there. We booked 48 hours in advance and while they didn't have all times available, they have enough for us to choose from. Enjoy it, I know you'll have a blast!
