Going to restaurants where locals are the main guests. The food was delicious, and Bernardo really explained the origins of all the food types. Extraordinary experience!

Wonderful 5 star experience with Miel as our guide. Exceptionally knowledgeable, warm, friendly, and down to earth! We did both a breakfast and a dinner tour with her. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We had a private tour for 8 people. The van picked us up at our hotel. Joanna, our guide, was great. As usual, all the stops were excellent with a variety of foods.
Over the years I've taken at least six tours with Vallarta and all have been excellent. Many of our favorite restaurants are ones we first learned about on a food tour.

Joana provided us an in depth view into the history of the neighborhoods in which we visited food establishments. This in addition to the excellent choices of stops made for a very pleasing experience for us. All of the food that we ate was fresh, and so tasty! We visited places that we wouldn't have normally gone to. Our van driver and the vehicle that we rode in were top notch!

Our guide Bernardo for the Vallarta by Road Tour was great! He was very knowledgable, fun and added so much to the experience by giving us a history lesson about the town and its culinary history along the way. The places were off the beaten path where the locals eat and the food was fabulous! When you are here on vacation, it is a wonderful way to see the town or if you have guests, it is a wonderful way to show them the town! I highly recommend Vallarta Food Tours!

Vallarta by Road Food Tour was just terrific. Our guide, Joana, was simply a wonderful ambassador for Puerto Vallarta and a gem of a human being. She was extremely knowledgeable and passed on so much interesting information and shared opportunities with us that we would have never had otherwise. We were able to cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time given that this was a van tour rather than a walking tour. All the food was delicious and I greatly appreciated and enjoyed the varied beverages that were also offered at most every stop.

What an amazing, informative and delicious taco tour!!
Miel G. is so knowledgeable about her home countries history and how their history has been influenced by their foods. Definitely do not miss this taco tour. We highly highly recommended it and ask for Miel

This is a fantastic adventure. You get to eat where the locals eat. If you or a member of your party is not very mobile, it is perfect as the 20 passenger van drops you off close to the door. You eat something fantastic, drink delightful drinks that you select and then you drive off to another community of Puerto Vallarta for the next dining experience. Enthusiastic tour guide, Joana, was the highlight of the trip as she added humor and depth to life and dining in Puerto Vallarta. Every aspect of the trip was a well though-out. There were 12 of us and, without exception, everyone told me it was a highlight of the cruise. This Vallarta by Road Food Tour company does it right. I could go on-and-on but I don't need to. "Jim F" (not on our tour) but a recent reviewer on this page was "spot-on". They have different tours and we will be back.

Talk about fast food! We seamlessly traveled to each location, tasting delicious foods, the time just flew by. Local authentic dishes and some of the newest versions of the standards were offered up in generous servings along with Agua Fresca of the day. Seven stops in 4 hrs, YUM, YUM.
