We have a 13 and 10 year old and they have the potential to lose interest at museums however Luis was very perceptive. When he noticed my kids were losing interest he would change direction and reel them right in. The Anthropology museum is huge and overwhelming so he took us to the highlights so my kiddos could still capture some history without being overwhelmed. The Chapultepec Castle is fascinating too as it does a great job of going thru Mexico’s history. The beautiful murals kept my kids engaged as Luis explained it to us. Luis could see that I wanted to take a picture and he would stop me and say not here there is a beautiful spot up ahead. The private Van was clean and Covid protocols were very much enforced at all locations. If you want a wonderful experience I highly recommend this tour and Luis.

We canceled another tour we had with another provider because they were giving us excuses about some sites that were closed. We went with Arturo our tour guide and Luis our driver and had a wonderful time even though we found out they just closed the Chapultepec Castle without previous notice. They took us around to other beautiful sites of the city and substituted for another site. We really enjoyed eating street tacos and learned so much about the different cultures at the Anthropology Museum. I can’t say enough good things about this company, Arturo, Luis and the wonderful people of Mexico. Great place to visit, it’s safe clean and full of history. Will definitely return.

We could not be more pleased with our tour and our guide, Alicia. She was so knowledgeable to answer our questions and considerate for our comfort. These two sites are must sees for anyone who visits Mexico City.

We took the private tour of the Museum of Anthropology and Chapultepec Castle with Mexico Tour Freelance early November 2019. Jose Luis was our guide and Cristian our driver. The Museum of Anthropology is an absolute must see if you are interested in the pre-colombian cultures of Mexico. The museum is big but does not overload you with exhibits and information. It focuses mainly on the cultures of Teotihuacan and the Atztecs but also covers Mayas, Toltecs and less well known civilizations. A couple hours gives you a basic tour.
The castle of Chapultepec served as a military academy, a royal palace, residence of various presidents and now as a museum. After a short climb up a hill you have great views over the city. The tour gives you the choice to visit the history museum or the rooms of the royal palace (the only one in Latin America). We chose the rooms. Some of them were furnished from the time of the Habsburg emperor and empress, some from the time of President Porfirio Diaz. Definitely a place of history, too.
