Gerardo was a great guide, and we loved how knowledgeable and flexible (we had a private tour) he was - our driver Rodolfo was also great. Definitely recommend.

We booked this tour through Tripadvisor (one note we could only book for 3 people or more, but there was only 2 of us).
Company contacted us the day before with details. Our driver Francisco (Frank) was wonderful! Could not fault him. From his brilliant driving, showing us all the best sites, giving lots of information on the various areas and was very insightful. He let us spend however long, or short, we wanted in places. Also got a chance to wander around some of the local markets which was lovely.
We also went to a place he recommended for lunch and it was the best food we had in Mexico!
Puebla and Cholula are both beautiful, with lots of history and things to see. Definitely worth taking a visit from Mexico City, if you have the time.
Francisco really made this tour for us. This was one of our favourite days during our trip.
We would definitely recommend it and think it is well worth it!

Gerardo was our guide for the day. We first went to Cholula to visit the Santuario de la Virgen de los Remedios, a magnificent place with breathtaking views of the mountains, volcano, and the cities of Puebla and Cholula. Then, we saw the exterior of the Cholula pyramid (no need to enter the site itself as it's visible from the outside). We strolled through the city and visited the Templo de Santa Maria Tonantzintla, an incredible and meaningful place. Gerardo has extensive knowledge and draws our attention to specific details. Later, we explored the city of Puebla. We had lunch at a highly recommended restaurant by Gerardo and continued our city tour (including the Metropolitan Cathedral of Puebla, El Parian market, and Zocalo). Gerardo is passionate, answering all your questions and adding significant depth to your visits. We're happy to have met you, Gerardo!

We had the most wonderful time at our tour today with Mariana and Roberto! They were both very knowledgeable, super friendly and they made us feel very comfortable. We had a lot of laughs along the way! And lots of photos too! I will definitely reach out to them when I am back in Mexico! ❤️

Marianna is the best tour guide ever! Her knowledge of the history of the sites she showed us, and the whole of Mexican history, is very impressive. She made us feel comfortable right away and made sure to check on our needs all throughout the day. Her recommendations were all stellar, topping this off with a superb lunch at Casa Baccolar. I will definitely recommend Marianna to all my friends who are planning to visit Mexico City. Thank you, Marianna! You made our trip truly memorable! Hasta Pronto!

We went to Puebla and Cholula with Ernesto and Señor Alvino. Ernesto was very helpful and knowledgeable. I travelled with my boyfriend and his teenage son. Ernesto was able to connect with the boy based on their shared love of history. Ernesto comes from an archeology background.
At one point, the boy got sick in a 16th century cathedral. It could have been the end of the trip, but Ernesto was so patient. He said "These things happen" and really tried to make the best of the situation.
We also were taken to an incredible taco place. I've never had a taco like that before. Let him order for you! You won't regret it.

Ernesto and Mariana made this an unforgettable trip. Ernesto was punctual, adjusted the tour to our requirements, full of knowledge, extremely patient and never pushed us to speed up or to buy from particular shops. It was fun conversing with him during the drive to and from Puebla. I whole heartedly recommend this tour and the Tekpan Tours as a tour operator for other guided tours in Mexico.

I had a great experience with Pepe who was my guide on the full day tour to Cholula and Puebla. It was very easy to communicate with him via WhatsApp prior to the tour, he was on time picking me up at the hotel with a very good car. He was very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. He didn't push any shopping stops. He let me have ample of time at every place there was no rushing anywhere . We stopped on the way at a spot where the volcanoes were nicely visible (a stop that I requested). In Cholula we walked around town, first visited one of the old churches and then walked up to the church on top of the pyramid and then visited the Museum and archeological site. It felt very complete. Then we continued onto Puebla. We chose a good restaurant with local mole for lunch, and then had a nice exhaustive tour of the city. It included a visit to the cathedral, the rosary church with the amazing golden chapel, the famous library from the 17th century and lots of walking on pretty colorful streets and market. This tour was exactly what I was looking for - low pressure but very comprehensive. I highly recommend both Pepe and the tour company (booked via Viator).

Wonderful private day trip for myself and my husband. Our excellent guide was Pepe. We were able to move at our own pace spending as much time as needed in each location. We stopped en route to view and take photos of two volcanoes Popocatel and Iztaccihuatl. Then we went on to Cholula where we were pleasantly surprised by the charming town plus The Great Pyramid of Cholula, also known as Tlachihualtepetl. It is the largest archaeological site of a pyramid in the New World, as well as the largest pyramid by volume known to exist in the world today! The Spanish built a church upon the pyramid. We climbed up to the church and had amazing views of the surrounding area. Next we drove to Puebla. Had a variety of mole enchiladas for lunch on the Zocalo. Followed by a walking tour of the colonial neighborhoods, artist enclaves, old library, churches, talavera pottery studios and more. Fabulous adventure filled day.

It was an amazing day trip. Mariana (the tour guide) picked us up on time. Very comfortable van, with all (covid-19) safety protocols and measures.
We drove for 2hrs to Cholula, during which Mariana was explaining about Mexico history and culture, she pointed at sightings we could see on the road. Once in Cholula we parked on safe parking lot, very close to the site, we walked around while she explained many interesting facts and at the end she bought us ice cream!!
Then it was a 20min drive to Puebla, we stop at a very small beautiful church.
For lunch she gave 3 options, to accommodate our budget and wishes. We picked the seating down option, which turned to be a beautiful place, Mexican food with a twist (Casa Barroca).
After lunch, we started walking thru different sights in Puebla, the streets, the markets, candy shops, the cathedral, etc.
Mariana really accomodates the experience to your needs and preferences. She is very patient, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Overall a very nice day with an amazing tour guide!!
