This was an experience of a lifetime! The caves and the ruins were both amazing!!! Our tour guide Imeldia was so great. We brought our 8 and 11 year olds and they were able to navigate the caves, no problem.

This was a great excursion! Good value as the cost included transportation to and from our hotel in Cancun, admission to the park, wet suit, water shoes, helmet, life jacket, tour, a shot of their specialty liquor, and a lunch buffet! Our guide Jose was very helpful with someone on our tour that wasn’t really comfortable in the water. The cave is beautiful and it was a fascinating experience. I appreciated the Mayan blessing we received before going into the cave. It was nice that although there were a few groups when we went, they must have sent us all to different parts of the cave because we never saw another group, so it felt like a private tour. The lunch buffet was good for both the meat eaters and vegetarians in our group and the setting for lunch was beautiful. They also had a little gift shop and you could purchase pictures taken during the tour. Would definitely recommend this tour.

The caves were incredible. Our guide Fernando was great and always helpful. We opted for the upgraded package that included the Tulum ruins, which was really beautiful. Be advised that you cannot take a phone/camera in the caves. The photo package is 1 photo for $30 or the whole pkg for $120.

This is the worest excursion I ever took in my life time. They are very much disorganized. The river water is cold. and it is pitch black inside the cave, so there is nothing you can see. the photo is misleading the river water is muddy ,not like the picture. it IS kind difficult to walk inside. some place you have crawl through. No fun , no scenary , it is a completely waste of your money to do it. The change room is dirty and premitive and It takes a long time just to get your equipment.. The buffetr lunch is terrible. the buffet table is not lighted. all they serve is a chick dish with salad. The worse part is , you not able to download the photo you paid for. DO NOT DO IT. PERIOD

This adventure was other wordly! Really neat to see the network of caves and the history that formed them. Our guide, Milo, was very informative, professional and a guardian of our safety. We really enjoyed this trip! Do recommend using a walking stick, it was helpful with the uneven surfaces. Only downside was that no cameras were allowed during the trip and they wanted an astounding $120 for the digital photo package at the end. Overall, would recommend the trip. Easy to find and well run.

Amazing activity! Cave was beautiful and the ruins were fascinating. Our guide Tanaira was exceptional! She was extremely knowledgeable, engaging and delivered the tour in 3 languages to our group. Highly recommend and props to Tanaira for making the experience sensational!

How physically strenuous/demanding is this activity? Can overweight people do it? Elderly?

The cave exploration is demanding, but they avoid some of the more tricky parts of there’s a group with mobility issues, and they offer free support canes/sticks. There is parts where swimming is needed and sloping rocks but they don’t rush you and you can help each other but in a lot of places you cannot touch the rocks to support yourself apart from where instructed.

Asking for a friend who has suffered from claustrophobia: Is most of the cave wide open or are there a lot of tight passages? How tight are the tightest of the passages you have to go through?

I wouldn’t recommend this tour to a claustrophobic person. There are tight and dark passages, and the overhead clearance can get low at various points.
