Grossly overrated. Food @ Isla Mujeres was of poor quality at best. Snorkeling equipment is from dollar store. There is no coral to see, only dead algae at bottom of ocean. They try to get everyone drunk with cheap beer ((Montejo) and El Compadre tequila when they tell you it's premium liquor open bar, don't believe it. They play loud reggaeton music the whole trip. You are not allowed to wear any type of footwear on the catamaran and as a consequence of this and them pouring buckets of ocean water on you lega and feet before being aloud to reboard @ Isla Mujeres, I took a nasty spill and injured my knee, elbow and hand while none of the staff lifted a finger to help me up, even though they were standing next to me where I fell on deck. They try to sell you photos they take of you while on board, at insane prices and upon return they beg for tips. The seller is located at the embarcadero in a booth out in front of their "store". We were swindled by Julie, first rate con job for 90 dollars per person (including the island access tax). Never again! Overall, this was a horrible experience with Star Blue tour to Isla Mujeres. Steer clear of this outfit unless you don't care about you safety or value your money.

Would not go again, pretty disappointed. Did not get a spinnaker activity, which was the main reason we selected this trip over others. Check in was a complete mess. Selected the option to start at 9am but the boat didn’t leave until 10. Buffet was OK but nothing special. Boat was very crowded. Snorkeling was good but you can get snorkeling excursions almost everywhere in the area for very cheap.
If doing it over I would much rather take the ferry over to the island and do an individual excursion when at the island. Probably cheaper that way

Este tour fue de lo peor no lo recomiendo por que el guia no completo el tour la comida del buffet estaba horrible. La verdad pague mucho dinero para nada.

Bit crowded on the boat but all around was a nice day out. Good sesh on the way back from the island as well, don't think I ever seen the bottom of my glass as they just kept coming around filling it up 😂

We booked the tour that starts at 8am, but we were picked up at 9:35am and went on a tour that started at 10am. Even though there was an option to go at 8am, which we selected when we booked, the tour for us started 2h later. We asked why and complained, but we haven't received any compensation or plausible response.
We were supposed to go snorkeling first, and when we got ready for snorkeling on the boat, the police arrived and asked the captain of our boat if he has a license. As he didn't have one, we didn't go snorkeling but changed the plan of the tour. The tour guide told us several stories, that he has to change plans because there is a private party at the place we are having lunch and that we need to go there first, and also he told us the story that the police reminded him of high waves, so he decided to do snorkeling afterwards.
Instead of spending several hours on the island, we spent only 1h on Isla Mujeres. The rest of the time we spent looking for a place for snorkeling where there was no police.
The food wasn't good, but we didn't expect good food.

De catamaran is volgestouwd met vakantiegangers. Er was geen plekje onbezet. Vervolgens werd er, na 30 minuten te zijn uitgevaren, de mogelijkheid gegeven te snorkelen. Aan een lijn in de rij. Massa toerisme ten top!
Hierna werd een maaltijd geserveerd. Een maaltijd die niks voorstelt. Drinken werd er volop aangeboden. Na 1 uur op de boot te hebben gezeten, werden we afgezet bij het eiland. Hier konden we 3 uur vrij vertoeven. Wat overigens niet de moeite waard is. Prachtige zee, maar That’s it.. hierna voeren we weer een klein uurtje terug.
We hebben 125 euro per persoon betaald, met transfer vanuit Puerto del Carmen. Na afloop konden we foto’s kopen die zijn gemaakt aan boord. Kosten: 160 dollar. Toen we aangaven hier geen gebruik van te willen maken, liep diegene boos weg😅.
Het personeel hebben, geheel tegen ons gebruik in, geen fooi gegeven omdat we de prijs kwaliteit verhouding ver uit balans vinden. Waarop door een van de personeelsleden een Spaans scheldwoord werd geroepen in de trend van “gierigaard”.
We bevelen deze tocht niet aan!

amazing day! We were picked up in a comfortable coach bus from our hotel lobby and were brought to the port in cancun. you pay the dock fee, can grab some snacks & visit the baños before boarding the boat. Then you set off for the day! we stopped at a beautiful spot for snorkelling and saw some rays, amazing fish and underwater statues. then we made our way to the island for a buffet lunch, drinks (shots not included), and photos. then we board the boat for a quick trip to the other part of the island where you do tequila tasting, shopping and relaxing. we had about 2 hours here. we got a massage on the beach by a separate vendor (also highly recommended!) and took pictures with a Iguana named Nacho! on the way back to cancun the staff holds a fun dance competition and basically tires you out. we got our bus back to the hotel and still had a good amount of time left in our day! it was great and we would do it again!

The price does not meet the quality and service.
The pick-up was not from our hotel although this was stated clearly in the advertisement and main reason for us to choose this trip.
The bus driver gave a tip back stating it is too little.
The food was not good.
The drinks and music on the catamaran were nice.
Snorkeling is not appropriate as of the big waves.

The staff was great, very informative and fun! Being on the catamaran was really the highlight of this excursion. The transportation to and from the hotel did go smoothly but you may end up waiting outside on the hot pavement for up to 45 minutes for your shuttle to pick you up after the excursion. People were getting taxis back to their hotels because this took so long. The lunch that was included was TERRIBLE. Do yourself a favor and get a tour that doesn’t include lunch, then take your money and go to one of the many restaurants on the island.
