Great experience! My 15 yer old went alone. He enjoyed every minute of it. He felt very comfortable and very safe! He said he would reccomend the experience to anyone. To all ages. We purchased to additional photo package. Definitely worth it!

I’m a certified diver but wanted to take my girlfriend out on discovery to get her into it. We had Jo as the instructor and she was amazing. Very patient and helpful, and now has my gf convinced to becoming a diver! Also saw tons of fish, turtles, etc. highly recommend.

Great experience!! Everyone was super nice, professional and just fun to talk with. So glad we got the pictures too! The quality was amazing. Highly recommend them.

We have been scuba diving twice before in other countries but the session with Scuba Libre far exceeded our previous experiences.
We are not certified divers so prior to the dives, we were taken to the hotel swimming pool to train in using the equipment following an informative talk from our guide, something we have never been given before.
Once we had completed the training session, we were taken on a short boat ride that afternoon to our first dive spot where we saw a wide variety of coral, fish and some manta rays. We were in a small group and had plenty of time to admire the stunning scenery. The Scuba Libre divers were great at pointing out the marine life we may have missed by ourselves.
A short boat ride later and we were at our second dive spot. I had some real problems with equalising my ears and it was really frustrating seeing everyone down below enjoying themselves.
However, our guide Jorge was incredibly patient and helpful. He stayed with me the entire team and slowly guided me down, helping me equalise at every step. Eventually we were able to rejoin the group and we saw more beautiful marine life. I cannot thank Jorge enough for his assistance and help with me, he really made the whole experience incredible for me and without his guidance I would have missed out on the second dive.
For anyone looking to try driving for the first time, or for the more experienced divers who want to see the incredible marine life of Playa del Carmen, I would highly recommend Scuba Libre for their professionalism, quality of customer service, knowledge and incredible value for money. We will definitely be returning for another dive when we are next in the area, thank you!!

Era la primera vez que hacía buceo, no tengo la excelente forma física que pueda tener alguien de veintitantos, mi cabeza me lo hizo pasar un poco mal en las primeras pruebas de acercamiento a la inmersión en la piscina y aún así, gracias a la paciencia, atención y buen hacer de David, nuestro instructor, conseguí disfrutar por primera vez en mi vida del buceo en aguas llenas de vida marina (tuvimos la suerte de ver una enorme tortuga verde en la 1ª inmersión y una raya en la 2ª, además de múltiples especies de peces, el coral...). Mi amiga, que había tenido una primera experiencia previa hacía ya años, sintió también la seguridad y tranquilidad que te transmite un excelente profesional no sólo del buceo sino también de la enseñanza como es David y a ello, además, se sumaba la “garantía “ añadida y buen hacer de Esther, fotógrafa en ese momento y también profesional de esto.
Una gran experiencia (en PADI) aderezada de gran profesionalidad, respeto por el entorno natural y muy buen ambiente (muy “buen rollo” el que transmiten), en la que no hay “trampa ni cartón”. Buscaré, de nuevo, a mi (nuestro) PROFESOR de buceo por los mares del mundo cuando quiera disfrutar de esa vida “oculta” (si no la hacemos desaparecer).
Una gran experiencia (en PADI) aderezada de gran profesionalidad, respeto por el entorno natural y muy buen ambiente (muy “buen rollo” el que transmiten), en la que no hay “trampa ni cartón”. I have been in Playa del Carmen for 8 days. I am a certified dive master and wanted my 11 year old daughter to start diving.
Went to ask at the booth they have at Sandos Caracol Resort and showed our interest. They sold us a Discover Scuba Diving package instead of a Junior Open Water (even if I asked for it, but they claimed my daughter was too young, not true but I am on vacation and don’t want to fight). I have placed a complaint with PADI on this, as this is a 5 star dive center and should focus on best packages.
Sales representative was chasing me while I was at the pool asking me to go and pay, several times. Seems that customer service is lost here.
Course and dives were good. I have no complaints here as Ever (the divemaster/instructor) did put a lot of effort to ensure my daughter was comfortable.
We had a photographer with the group, taking pictures of the dive. We decided to purchase the photo package and we gave our verbal acceptance. I do not dive with my credit cards and we arrived when the dive center was closing, so I could not pay immediately for the pictures. Day after we had a scheduled excursion leaving at 8am, so could not go and pay. I received a couple of nice emails stating that if I do not pay immediately she will delete the pictures. Any other moment of my life I would have asked her to do so, and she will lose a sell, but my daughter was very excited about the pictures and I asked for some slack, as I would not be in the hotel at the opening hours. Day after, 8:15 am I was in the dive center paying for the pictures. 48 hours after payment and after my request to get the pictures, I am still waiting. Too quick to get their money, too slow to deliver the product.
I do understand sales are what keep business running, but harassing people who are on vacation this way is not a way to keep a customer.
Again, only positive thing about this dive center is their dive master Ever, who is leaving them to move to Europe.

PICK JAMIE AS YOUR INSTRUCTOR!! HE’S THE BEST!!!
It was our first time diving and we did the Discovery Scuba Dive. 2 hours pool course in the morning, 2 hour break then 2 hour ocean dive, broken down to two 45 minute dive. We went down to a maximum of 12 meter or 39ft.
We were all pretty nervous but Jamie was such a calm and professional instructor that we felt safe in his hands. He kept a close eye on all of us through out the whole experience.

Also - I am PADI advanced but have not dived in several years. Is this the right excursion for me? My wife has never been diving and I want her to learn to dive.
