Emmanuel was awesome! Would recommend. The tour was fun and the guide’s energy was contagious. When a local shop that we were going to was closed, Emmanuel did a great job of pivoting to an alternative

What a wonderful tour! We were brought to multiple local places to taste real Mexican cuisine. If you're interested in going "off the beaten path," we highly recommend it. Our tour guide (Emmanuel) was hilarious, shared some really cool history with us, & knew his food!

Our guide Marcel led us on a fabulous food tour, we loved every bite! We were glad to be steered downtown rather than along “5th Avenue”, the tour gave us the confidence to go back and order from local places. Thanks Marcel!! We had an awesome time!

Emmanuel had great energy and shared knowledged of the area with the group. The food stops were wonderful and represented the area well. I would do the tour again with him.

What an incredible experience! Emmanuel was personable, engaging, informative, and just really made it one of the best experiences of our trip to Playa. The food was amazing -- we tried many traditional eats we never would have known about without this tour. It was well tailored for the family that was also a part of the group, the individuals, and to us as a couple. I would HIGHLY recommend this as the best introduction to any trip to Playa. A must do and will definitely book Emmanuel again!

Last night we made a food tour through Playa del Carmen together with our guide. She showed us different Mexican dishes. She also told what and how it is made and from which region it comes. She answered all our questions. It was very nice and very tasty. Everyone should do this tour to get acquainted with the real Mexican cuisine because as a tourist you really don't find these places. Abbey was a great host. Throughout the tour she was very attentive and helped answer any of the questions that we had.
The food as well was 10/10 with every stop we had.

How far is this from Riviera Maya? I’d like to book but want to make sure it’s not too far for transportation

I would personally double check on a map with your exact location, but a quick Google search claims about a 20 min. drive from Riviera Maya to Playa del Carmen.

I walk with a cane. Is the tour route on smooth walking surface or is it rough? How many food stops do you have? Is there any seafood/fish served? Is the food very spicy? What kind of beverages are provided?

If you walk with a can I seriously wouldn’t do this. It’s pretty long and on some uneven and cracked pavement. The food is mostly pork and chicken and the spice is added after, so you are in control of it.
