Francisco is a wonderful ambassador to Mexico and its rich culture! His warmth, humor, and teaching were appreciated by all in my party of four. This tour is suitable for all, including curious but mature children.

You will start your tour at the local Mexican market. Our tour guide was friendly and fun. We shopped for everything we would need to make fresh salsa, guacamole, salsa verde, and 2 types of tamales. We stopped and tried fresh, hot corn tortillas. We then went to his house and cooked the afternoon away with new friends. Fun experience @

Francisco was an incredibly engaging host. We took our time buying groceries in the market as he explained how he picks vegetables for his dishes. Then we headed back to his house, where everything was ready to go to fix drinks and food from hibiscus margaritas to the main dish of mole. I will never use margarita mix again. His mole was made from scratch with amazingly complex flavors. Our group had a great time and we also got the meet his family who helped with the prep. What a delightful time! We highly recommend this adventure!

This was a fabulous experience. Francisco shared his knowledge of Mexican cooking starting with the shopping in the Mexican market with the final serving of the food He opened his home along with his family who graciously taught us how to make birria, guacamole, salsas, homemade tortillas and Margaritas.

I met Francisco at the mercado, where he took the group around and showed us all of the delicious foods available to us. He explained a lot of things we just weren't sure of, and we were able to taste several fruits and other unfamiliar foods. We then went to his casa, which he explained was also OUR casa, where we started cooking. We started with delicious hibiscus margaritas, went on to birria, rajas de crema, and Salsa Mexicana. All of that was enjoyed with our own handmade corn tortillas. I'm pretty sure we had another margarita, too. ¡Muchas gracias a Francisco, Norma, y Pablo!

We had a wonderful time showing you around the mercado and introducing you to all the delicious flavors. It's always fun to share the experience of making (and enjoying!) birria, rajas, salsa, and those handmade tortillas. And yes, maybe a margarita or two!

Such a great experience! Francisco is a great teacher and has so much fun with the class. We went to one of his classes two years ago, and brought our adult daughters with us on this trip. Everyone had a great time, and the appetizers and food were outstanding. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing experience! Francisco and his family are wonderful hosts and exceptional chefs. We started the day in the market selecting fresh vegetables and meats. It seemed like Francisco knew everyone there, as he was greeted at every turn. We stopped to pick up freshly made tortillas (and had some right off the presses) and then headed out to his home where we helped make tacos, salsas, and ceviche. Made with the freshest ingredients, this meal was outstanding. Easlity the best I have experienced in a long time. I will be sure to return and book this experience again as it was well worth it.

A wonderful experience with 6 of our friends. Francisco was a fun and informative teacher throughout the market experience, our drive in his van to the Tortilleria, and his home where we cooked and prepared tamales, habiscus margaritas, guacamole and salsa and more. We met his wife and son who helped and met his little puppy. It took the full 5 hours. We highly recommend this experience.

This was my second time taking this cooking class in San José del Cabo with Francisco and both classes have been beyond excellent! Francisco is SO informative about shopping for and cooking local ingredients, as well as sharing the history of food in Mexico. We loved the hands-on experience of cooking with his family. He allowed us to choose what we wanted to cook. We learned how to shop, dice, cook, and make hibiscus margaritas. My friends and family absolutely loved the experience!

Hi Francisco. My husband and I will be coming to cabo for 2 weeks and san jose del cabo for 2 weeks in January. Which area is your house closest to? Just trying figure out when to reserve this? How far ahead do you book up?

We were fortunate to stumble on this little gem a year ago in January. Was wondering if it is available for a small group this Thursday the 31st and what we will be cooking? We did pepper tamales, guac, and margaritas. Is it the same menu or different?
