I wish I could review this tour. We booked and paid for it and I had ensured, via additional correspondence, that we had contact numbers and double checked the meet site. However, at the appointed time no guide showed up. We spent ages trying to contact the tour company, none of the numbers we'd been given worked. Eventually, after waiting an hour, we were told that the guide had thought the tour was the following day (which we could not make). Very poor and disappointing. Eventually the cost was refunded. Disappointing to say the least

It was so interesting with the only steam clock in the world. Many unique shops and eateries. Would definitely recommend.

Warning. Avoid.
I have written over 750 reviews, this is one of our worst experiences.
As a rule, we love walking tours and have never had a problem, until this one. We carefully planned our day around the walk at 2pm and arrived at the meeting point at 1:45. But by 2:10 we were concerned and started to call every number we could find, most were unanswered, or wrong.
Eventually, we connected to the charming Hazel in Manila, who duly tried the same number with the predictable same result. Eventually, at 3pm, we gave up, having wasted 75 minutes (ironically the length of the tour). The next day, we received a message from the operator to say that the guide, Rosie, was mistaken with the day, which is highly unlikely since in our correspondence with her, she clearly reminded us of the correct day.
I suspect that the tour wasn’t sufficiently profitably and therefore, the guide didn’t bother to show up. The lack of response to the phone calls when there was a problem was added confirmation that customer service isn’t high on their agenda.
So, we bought a self tour instead at a fraction of the price of the tour, which was surprisingly excellent and you might like to do the same.

Disappointed. Booked a tour on a Sunday last minute and went to the meeting spot and no one showed up. No one answered the number they give you on the booking confirmation. I called TripAdvisor and they are looking into the manner.

However, your booking was last minute booking into our system so we could not manage it on time to assign you a tour guide, I hope you understand that.

This tour has a great potential (that why I gave it 4 stars and not 3 what it really deserved) but I believe it needs some fine tuning. First good things. It's nice to know information about Vancouver and it's origins no questions here however you need to know that the price is 30 dollars per person and you need to pay upfront. We think it's way overpriced considering it's a Vancouver and not Paris, London or Madrid (tours there are free and you pay what you think is fair). Second thing Gastown is a pretty noisy area and our tour guide wasn't speaking very loud so we've missed more than half of what was said (and our group was just 6 people). I guess a mike and a loud speaker are must have for such tours.

As you said the tour has potential, that is why I run it.
The tour has been well designed for this neighbourhood, of course, a Saturday evening is noisy everywhere if you consider we are downtown. You are paying for a professional tour guide to explain the city in your language and filling you with tips, but if you prefer invalid information you can go for a free tour but you will be devaluing this respectable job as a tour guide and showing how cheap you can be.

Back in Vancouver after 10 years and very glad that we did this tour with Moises. I lived in Vancouver in the early 2000s and frequented Gastown, but doing this tour made me realize how little I knew about the place I called home.
If you are visiting Canada or a Canadian exploring you backyard I would highly highly recommend this tour.
P.S. Moises made so many recommendations of local things we could do and eat. He definitely knows the insider scoop.

Moises did an amazing job. I've been on many walking tours but this was one of the best. He took dates and details seriously and really showed us small thing we would never have found on our own. Tour was just long enough to enjoy the walk without getting tired or bored. I came with my partner, her parents, and brother, and they all had a good time. Good luck Moises and we hope your tour company does well! You deserve it!

What time is the tour? Even after I go to book it only shows the date, not the time.
