Overall, I had a great time. Our guide Maja was just amazing. She was supportive, informative, and fun to talk to. The hike was challenging but manageable. It was just right for my ability level (I think I am average in terms of fitness). The view was also great throughout the hike and it just got better the higher up the mountain we got. One of the highlights of our adventure was, after a little rain, we were rewarded by the appearance of two back-to-back rainbows while we were halfway to the top. It was like nature saying, "Good job. Keep it up."
One thing I will suggest though is, if you are planning to do an afternoon Via Ferrata hike, do it on Friday-Sunday because the lifts returning to the village close down later in the evening. We had to rush back from the top of the mountain in order to catch the 5:00/5:15pm lift deadline. If we weren't rushing back, I would have taken more time to soak in the experience.
One thing I will suggest though is, if you are planning to do an afternoon Via Ferrata hike, do it on Friday-Sunday because the lifts returning to the village close down later in the evening. The guides-Andrew and Cory-were very professional and helpful towards the clients. They were knowledgeable and maintained a pace that the people could follow. They were clearly experts and I felt she and supported as I participated in a new adventure. i recommend them in the strongest possible terms.

This was my third time doing the tour and this was by far the best thanks largely in part to our guide, Ollie. My friend and I were lucky enough to be the only ones on the tour which was also great. Ollie was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and safe and had a wealth of knowledge about the Via Ferrata as well as the scenery. It was not rushed at all and there were plenty of times to just sit back and enjoy the scenery and surroundings. They have added a bunch more hand holds since last time which made the course very easy but still fun. (Hoping they don't add more as it did take away a bit of the fear) Overall this is my favorite tour to take friends on when they come visit and Ollie is an excellent addition to the team.

This blew our minds, starting with the gondola ride up Whistler mountain we were soon on snow then up to the via ferrata proper. Considering the heights, angles and drops we felt completely safe throughout and had a wonderful experience. Our guides were amazing and kindly took photos for us throughout and shared them (no cost). Absolute highlight of our trip to Canada.

Such an amazing experience! It was a little harder than we first thought, but the challenge was what pushed us onward and upward. Our tour guide Rob did a great job encouraging us and showing us how to proceed safely with respect to the mountain. It was tiring, but once you get to the top, it is so worth it!

My mom and I had so much fun doing the Whistler Via Ferrata with Maya!
We felt very safe with her. She also shared an interesting fact (watermelon snow!!).
It was a pleasant to do this tour with her. Whistler Via Ferrata has some stunning scenery! Snow capped mountains 360!

This is just an amazing experience. It is a long, intense journey, especially for those with little experience hiking and climbing; but is so worth it. Our guide, Rob, was great: patient, knowledgeable, very clear with respect to instructions and safety measures, and very good at assessing our skill differences and act accordingly. It was not a rush trip, he would point out information about the fauna and flora of the area, stop for pictures, etc. This was the most awesome tour we did during the trip, and although tiresome, we would do it again no doubt.

I just wanted to ask, do we have to pay for the peak to peak gondola separately in order to do this experience?

It is a separate expense but I believe you can purchase at the same time through the company. We didn’t because we had a discount we were able to use for the peak to peak. If purchased separately though you do have to make sure you have it in your hands before your tour. We picked up the day before since we had a morning tour.
