We booked as an excursion off of our cruise ship. Highly recommend and enjoyed our time making the stain glass masterpiece.... It was so much better than riding around in a bus on a land tour.

We arrived into Saint John via cruise ship and wanted to do something fun that was not thru the ship. The taxi ride was a quick 10 mins from the port to her workshop house. Our instructor Kim was amazing and super patient. She teaches some quick basics on a practice piece of glass on how to cut, then you begin working on your piece. She guides you the whole way and makes sure you are happy with your work. We had a really great time and would definitely recommend taking her class if you want to do something different.

I came to Saint John by cruise ship. I did need to take a taxi to get there. When I arrived everything was set up and ready to go. There are a number of patterns to choose from and Kim was patient and explained everything as we went. There were only 3 of us in the class which was great. I've never done stained glass before. It was a fun experience and would definitely do it again.

Our group of 3 had the most fun with Kim in her amazing workshop. Kim is friendly, accommodating, flexible and so easy to work with. The options she offers are perfect, and it was fun getting to pick our own glass pieces. She breaks it all down and makes all skill levels feel comfortable. The end project is the most precious ornament and keepsake. It was the perfect activity for our day in Saint John, and I’d highly recommend Kim and her fun class to all!

Kim is wonderful! This class was so much fun. I came in to town via cruise ship and used a taxi to get to and from her studio (~$18-20USD each way... I dropped off in town on the way back so some slight variation). The studio is tidy and well organized and you can see her beautiful work on display.
Once you get started, you can pick from several variations of templates that are built for beginners but all look great! I chose the snail shell. She then let's you decide what colors you want to use and you begin. She's an excellent instructor, breaking down the terms used like "flux", "foil", and "solder" and explains how to measure the pieces and grind them to fit. Every step she let's you do the work, but is there to give helpful tips so you feel like a pro.
I am not much of a nature enthusiast and love having experiences when I travel that I can't get at home, so for a port of call like Saint John, this was the best experience I could have asked for! I would highly recommend and if I ever come back to Saint John would love to take another class.

Our teacher was very knowledgeable and guided us through every step patiently. She did an amazing job explaining and demonstrating what we were doing and made the experience very rewarding!

Truly enjoyed making a stained glass piece with a couple of friends at Stained Glass Creations by Kim. I’m always looking to have different experiences and this was really neat! From the moment we arrived at Kim’s studio we felt relaxed and knew we were going to be instructed by a very talented and patient individual. Kim guides you through every aspect and detail and provides confidence in your ability to create every step of the way. My friends and I walked away at the end of the day with big smiles and our own little treasurer we created. We will definitely be returning and bringing other family and friends.

My wife and I had never tried to make stained glass pieces. Kim met us at the door to her studio. She was very pleasant and got us working right away. We learned to cut glass. Then we worked on cutting out the pieces of our chosen piece. We then learned how to trim them on the grinder. After that we put copper foil on the edges. From there we soldered the joints. Next we tinned the remainder of the foil. My project turned out great. My wife’s was even better. I made a cat and she made a starfish.

First time doing stained glass and I was fascinated by it. The project I did was small so it wasn't overwhelming and i got to bring home a finished piece. Kim is a great teacher and now I have a new hobby.

This was such a great experience for me and my Mom for mother's day! Kim is a wonderful teacher and she takes the time calmly explain and demonstrate each step. There were also soooo many options for coloured glass. Great experience and I definitely recommend this to anyone who finds themselves fascinated by glass. Give it a try!
