- SimonSzeTo00一个难忘的三日两夜极光之旅因我和太太很夜从Edmonton到Yellowknife, Discovery Inn香港人老板 Jimmy Kong亲自到机场接我们赶往他们的极光营地会合他的同事 Peter Song和其他六位客人一起观极光。 一下车已有极光出现, Jimmy急不及待帮我和太太拍照和录像, 然后叫Peter照顾我们继续观极光拍照, 他一个人帮我们把行李车回酒店, 这样亲力亲为, 又热情的老板真令我和太太在零下廿五度也暖在心。Peter在笫二天车我们去坐狗拉车后又介绍Old Town的景点给我们去游覧, 晚上Peter再车我们去不同地方捕捉极光, 差不多半夜两点才送我们回到酒店, 但他五点半又到酒店车我们去机场搭早上七点半机回香港, Peter真是一位热心尽责的导游, 期望下次再参加 Jiguang Tour 的观光游.

THIS TOUR is amazing !!!! As a photographer who wanted to get great shots of the Aurora . This is the tour Id recommend and I went with four different tour company’s while in Yellowknife.
Jimmy the owner and his team are all such incredible friendly real genuine down to earth people. They truly want their customers to see the Northern Lights more then the customers actual want to see them. This means they do absolutely everything they can to find the Aurora.
I stayed in Yellowknife for almost 5 weeks and I’d go to Jimmys lake property as often as possible. This is where you most likely will go on if you join this tour. The property is perfect is on the edge of town on a frozen lake so a short drive from the hotels. Photographers If your looking to get some cool compositions you can do this on this tour. Lots of different angles to shoot from and the property is big enough that you can step away from the group if your worried about other lights and stuff getting in your shoot.I was worried about this when booking a group tour but it all worked out. He is a very good northern lights photographer so he can give you some great advice for getting good photos. He also takes photos and real time video which is real cool.
We had such success!! I think I went out 15-20
nights and we saw them 16-17 nights. Nights we didn’t see them was because of thick cloud not much you can do about that.
All in all this is a tour a must do. Chasing tours are fun and yes you get different compositions but your also stuck in a van for hours. Do his Aurora chasing tour as well … but the tour where you go to his lake property is THE BEST

Amazing experience! Couldn’t have asked for better! Very accommodating/ friendly and ensures you get the most of your time. Stayed warm the entire time as there was a fire and hot drinks provided. 10/10 recommend :)

Through my experience with JiGuang Tour, I was able to witness the spectacular view of the Aurora lights dancing for the first time. Jimmy was very experienced with guiding us through this entire experience. He and his staff were very friendly and was able to help me capture good photos next to his teepee. His campsite is about a 15 minute drive away from the city, and has an amazing view that faces the lake. One of my favourite parts from his tour (aside from the Aurora viewing of course) was enjoying an outdoor barbeque where we could engage in good food and meet other people that were part of the tour. When we got cold, we could go inside his cabin and refresh ourselves with hot drinks and snacks. Overall my experience with Jiguang Tour was very much worth my visit to Yellowknife, he and his staff made my experience worth every minute!

What time is hotel pick up ish ? How far away is the viewing location from town hopefully we get out of town away from lights, I noticed in photos a lot of lights and telephone wires? What time do we arrive at the viewing location?
What time do leave viewing location and get back to hotels ? Are the guides pretty easy going and flexible, cause I know sometimes the Aurora doesn’t come out until late . So if she came out at 2pm or when we are just about to leave and the groups wants to stay like 30 mins are the guides willing to do this? Hopefully
