I can't for the life of me figure out how this tour doesn't have hundreds of 5 star ratings! Left the resort at 9 with Pablo, who is a gem. He was incredibly kind, helped us learn Spanish all along the way, answered a million questions, and actively sought out things he thought we would like based on our conversation. The cocoa and coffee plantation with the traditional Dominican house was so interesting. We got to see everything up close and really enjoyed our time there. And the fresh mangoes!! He explained about the different towns as we drove through. The next stop was cigar rolling and that was a treat as well. Everyone was so kind and informative. No pressure either. Definitely pay to take the official tour of the beautiful church in Higuey, very beautiful and meaningful. Then Pablo found us some sugar cane to try as we drove through the market, as well as the traditional sweet bean dessert. We didn't care to spend too much time at Macao as our beach at Riu was the best, and Pablo was happy to oblige. I can't hype this tour enough to get a taste of local culture and spend a half day learning new things!

I am very pleased with our driver Edwin! I just wish we met him sooner! He picked us up from our resort(always on-time) and drove us to our buggy trip. Very nice and smooth driver. On our way there he was kind enough to explain the culture and scenery as we go. He was very informative and kind. We were tired of the food at our resort, and Edwin introduced us to real authentic Dominican food and it was amazing !!! When we asked for ATM machine and souvenir store, he went out of his way to find us both. Very nice guy!! My wife and I felt very safe with him. Would definitely use the service again. Highly recommend 'high quality transport' and Edwin for sure !!

Nous avons réservés cette excursion car nous voulions en apprendre plus sur la culture locale et nous avons adoré !
Énorme chance : nous étions seuls avec le chauffeur et guide, Mani qui a été excellent ! Nous le recommandons à 100% : agréable et très cultivé, nous avons adorés cette matinée en sa compagnie et avons pu réserver d'autres visites avec lui ensuite.
Nous avons commencé par la plage de Macao puis avons visité une maison typique et la transformation du cacao et du café, avec dégustation : un délice.
Ensuite nous avons pu aller voir deux lieux religieux, très différents.
Le seul point négatif : l'ensemble des boutiques à la fin de l'excursion avec des vendeurs trop insistants.
En résumé : une excursion à faire absolument, avec Mani si possible.

Our day trip was amazing and went incredibly well from start to finish!! Edwin, our driver, was an excellent guide! He was friendly, very knowledgeable and super profesional. I highly recommend this transportation company and driver. I plan on exclusively utilizing this transportation service during future travels to DR!

Our first time in Caribbean, Australians, found this tour on Expedia and had to change dates after we booked. Christian sorted us out straight away (huge thanks) and next day we embarked. Manny our driver was brilliant. Our young family (3x kids under 10) were in safe hands. Manny was knowledgeable and a fully competent driver in a comfortable and safe vehicle - with a/c - tick. We saw all the sights on the tour plus more. Manny navigated expertly and knew the secrets and also made sure we weren’t ‘taken for a ride’ by local tour guides. He went above and beyond to make sure the family had a cultural and educational experience in safety and comfort. We found someone we trust and are now booking Manny for another tour ... perfect to get the most out of our vacation. Thanks!

I was visiting Round Mountain in the Dominican Republic with several friends and the service provided by the High Quality transport staff was excellent, good treatment and good security.
