The excursion was disorganized from the very beginning. The stop at Altos de Chavon wasn't as described. The beach was extremely crowded at the island. For the return trip, we had to wait for an extended period of time to fill the catamaran. We were told it would be filled to 50% capacity, however there were 20 people seated on the floor because the catamaran was so full.
Our tour guides disappeared from our small group after we arrived at Bayahibe and we never saw them again. They both got on 2 different speed boats and didn't check to see if we arrived at the island safely.
The island was beautiful, the water was gorgeous! I would consider trying the excursion again with a different company, but that likely wouldn't fix the overcrowding on boats or at the island. I would recommend reading the reviews carefully.
