I purchased this excursion through Aldo during my airport transfer. There was a slight miscommunication with the pick up time but quickly resolved.
The trip from Punta Cana to Santo Domingo was about 2.5 hours but they made sure to stop for bathroom breaks / refreshments along the way to and from.
Our tour guides name once we arrived was Francisco. Francisco did a wonderful job explaining and showing us all kinds of history throughout the city. He gave the tour in both English and Spanish and answered any questions that were asked to him. It rained while we were doing the walking portion through the city and Francisco even provided umbrellas for everyone to use.
My only complaint was that I was hoping to be able to do a little more shopping. The shops that you stop at a long the way during your walk around the city are predetermined and wasn’t what I was looking for. You don’t have the ability to walk freely and visit stores that you see and may want to stop at.
Overall it was worth it and I would not only recommend but would also do the trip again in the future.
