Jussi Tupasela and Lotta Sandvik were so welcoming and friendly! Jussi’s explanations were clear and understandable and he was full of funny anecdotes! Good quality equipment and guiding. We felt safe and confident throughout our trip thanks to Jussi. We definitely recommend this activity to anyone! You don’t have to be experienced in climbing to take part, only willing to learn and have a new experience. The view from the top of the wall is worth it!!

A really awesome experience! Lotta and Jussi were so welcoming right from the very beginning - Lotta picked us up early that morning to take us to the meeting point, where Jussi then briefed us on the equipment, rules and safety of the ice climbing - he was very clear and humorous in his explanation!
Whether we were belaying or up the wall, I felt comfortable with the equipment given, and Jussi was always available, keeping an eye on everyone’s safety and always willing to help. That feeling you get once you’ve managed your first ascent is incredible as well!
I’d thoroughly recommend giving this a go, no matter your previous experience or fitness level, you’ll love it!

Completely felt safe the entire time. Jussi, our guide is very friendly and funny!
It was the best experience we had whilst in Finland for 1 month.

La experiencia con Outdoorpassion fue formidable y totalmente recomendable, y sin duda volveríamos a repetir. Realizamos dos actividades con ellos.
El primer día salimos de excursión equipados con unos esquíes llamados OAC Skinbased por una zona cercana a Ruka. Nuestra guía fue Lotta, quién nos trató de manera muy amable y nos dio las instrucciones precisas de como iniciarnos en esta práctica deportiva. Realizamos varias paradas durante el recorrido donde pudimos descansar, contemplar la naturaleza de paisajes de ensueño totalmente cubiertos de nieve y tomar fantásticas fotografías. Lotta nos dio explicaciones del entorno que contemplábamos y nos contó anécdotas muy curiosas, haciendo más completa la experiencia. Durante el recorrido también nos ofreció bebida caliente y dulces locales para tener plena energía.
El segundo día nos atrevimos con la escalada en hielo. Esta actividad es la que nos causaba más respeto ya que nunca antes habíamos hecho algo parecido. Nuestro guía Jussi desde el primer instante nos hizo sentir confianza con su profesionalidad y simpatía. Pudimos aprender como utilizar todo el equipo: botas de alpinismo, crampones, arneses, cuerdas, piolets... Fuimos andando desde la agencia hasta la zona de escalada que está dentro de la propia estación de esquí y en apenas unos minutos ya estábamos empezando con el desafío. Conseguimos escalar los 31m de pared de hielo con algo de esfuerzo, pero a medida que nuestra técnica mejoraba, el esfuerzo era menor. El segundo intento, fue mucho más fácil y las sensaciones fantásticas. Al finalizar, nos invitaron a un chocolate caliente y pudimos conversar un momento amigablemente acerca de la experiencia.
Se nota que Lotta y Jussi ponen todo su pericia, esfuerzo y cariño para que sus clientes se sientan siempre seguros y al mismo tiempo relajados para disfrutar al máximo.

Last minute besloten om dit aan onze voor de rest georganiseerde reis toe te voegen omdat er een gaatje in het programma zat.
Savonds om 18.00 gebeld, voor de volgende dag.
En ze dachten echt mee in een oplossing om ons toch iets te kunnen bieden. Uiteindelijk kwamen ze ons de volgende ochtend ophalen in het Iissaki Village om te gaan IJswand klimmen.
Nog nooit ook maar iets aan klimmen gedaan. Maar deze ervaring was ook echt niet nodig.
Zeer vriendelijke echtpaar wat deze zaak runt.
Duidelijke uitleg, alle benodigdheden (klim tools, schoenen, broek beschermers etc..) voorzien en het gebruik ervan goed uitgelegd met leuke weetjes ertussendoor.
Laagdrempelig om te doen, maar achteraf echt een gave (en toch wel stoere) ervaring om gedaan te hebben.
Een absolute aanrader!
