For years I’ve heard about Desolation Sound from people with boats. For the rest of us, this cruise provides a way to get there.
Everything is very well run, and the staff on the boat and at the lodge provide a good experience. You pay a lot, but you get a trip with your bags, food, and arrangements all taken care of.
We saw all the hoped-for wildlife: a grizzly, humpback whales, orcas, as well as seals, eagles, and deer.
Could anything have been dine better? Well, it would have been nice to get some fresh, local seafood, but that isn’t necessarily within their control.

No Boat. No problem! Yes, the cruise allows people to see Desolation Sound as there are few ways to do this unless you have your own boat. We are happy for your review and that you enjoyed the crew, the Pacific Bear cruise and Homfray Lodge. You where also able to see all the big wildlife from Grizzly Bear, Humpback Whales and Orcas and I'm sure so much more!
