Great surf and support!

This was a really great session! We were a group of friends enjoying our time in Newquay and all joined the half day beginners session. Richard was really great! Some of the girls were a bit nervous, but Richard worked with each of us and we were all standing up on our boards by the end. It's a very safe feeling beach despite the size of some waves that we had and he spent the time to ensure we were all safe and working towards our best stance on the boards. Thank you again from the Global travellers!

Choose this school!!
We had a excellent time, Lucy was super patient and explained everything super well. We had booked this as a birthday surprise for my sister and even though we are extremely nervous anxious people we were made to feel really welcome and were treated warmly by everyone we met from the moment we walked in the door. They even greeted us by name! The weather was absolutely awful, very windy and pouring rain and yet Lucy and Henry were calm and explained proper board safety very well. I even managed to get up on my knees and ride a few waves! Cannot express how much I appreciate how great the coaches are, and how glad I am as a socially anxious person that I chose this place to try a new skill!

Great school, highly recommend
Loved my lesson with Lucy, she has the patient of a saint and was a great teacher! Managed to catch a few waves despite never having surfed so I’ll take that as a win. All of the Escape team were super friendly and I’d highly recommend. I’ll be back! :-)

Fantastic lesson, highly recommend

It was a wonderful surf lesson - I felt well supported, the instructor was fantastic, and I learned a lot in a short amount of time. Would highly recommend to anyone going to Newquay and interested in trying out surfing!

Great instructor, fantastic facilities, really welcoming people

Fantastic experience. Was made to feel really supported to give it a go and didn't feel foolish when I just could not stand up! Will definitely book for more lessons when I have more time!

Newquay’s best surf school
Amazing surf school in one of the best U.K. surfing spots. Friendly team and were able to give 1-2-1 advice on my technique. An instructor was in the water with us and taught us the best spots for that beach. The school provided us with broads and water suits. They also had hot showers and indoor changing facilities.

Instructors were fab and friendly and patient. We had a fab couple of hours, smiles all round the whole time. Will definitely go again.

Supportive and Fun!

My sister and friend came along. We had surf instructors Lucy, Pidgeon and Simon. They were just lovely and fab instructors. If you want to learn a new skill in a fun, supportive environment this is the place!

Old fart had some proper fun !

Was a bit apprehensive prior to my experience. But communication beforehand was all good.
Arrived at Escape …Be aware if you are arriving by car give yourself plenty of time as parking is rather at a premium IF you can find a space.
I had unfortunately picked a very very hot day so after being kitted up and carrying the board down to the beach a quick dip before we began was most welcome.
Our Instructor for the afternoon Ilya was patient, professional, friendly and very supportive throughout. And although I think there were 8 of us on our particular lesson he dedicated his time equally between us and gave every one of us help and encouragement.
The two hours flew by and I thoroughly enjoyed every single second.
They also have an accompanying photographer assigned who can provide the all important action shots of your performance.
I even have a “badge of honour” broken toe which I have no idea how I managed during my lesson. Was having so much fun I hadn’t even noticed until walking back to my car later on.
But pretty cool down the Pub when anyone asks about the injury and you can reply casually “Oh, that? yes. Did that last week in Newquay surfing!” Lol.
No blame to Escape though!!!! They were professional personified.

All this from a not that fit, overweight 63 year old.

Made me feel ALIVE!!!!

Thanks to everyone.

And if you are thinking about having a bash, Escape will look after you no matter what level you are on.

Hopefully get back down sometime soon to try and catch a few bigger waves.
