Cannot praise this place enough, had a great one on one lesson and it was worth every penny. I was abit on the fence as I’d just been picking up surfing on my own and thought I could have got better as time went on. I was completely wrong! Instructor was really helpful, loads of knowledge for my Q’s and knew that I had picked up some bad habits straight away. Talked me through some pointers and areas to change and I was flying on the big waves within the hour! This has helped me on the water ever since and I’m hitting a lot more waves now on my own. I’m useless with names but I think the instructor was Andrew ? (Sorry if I’ve got that wrong) So a big thank you to him, Mike and the rest of the team. Top set of people I’ll be back next year 😁😎🤙

I have taken a mix of private and group lessons with Escape team and must say that I am inevitably hooked on surfing now. Starting from a complete novice that have never been surfing, I am now surfing green waters after only 3 lessons. The instructor’s knowledge of the beaches is beyond impressive. You will be very safe with them. The team explain very well got to read the wave, identify peaks and just help you become more confident in the water. Special thank you to instructor Andrew who has been very patient with me and helped me to concur my fears and build confidence. Additional bonus is the fact that there a lot of “regulars” which created this very special bond and feel of community. Thank you team and I can’t wait to come back again!

Andrew was an excellent instructor and I learned so much during our lesson even with the challenging weather conditions. Heated shower and changing rooms were a bonus. Would highly recommend.

Had an excellent visit, so much so that we repeated it the next day.
Beginner lesson with Henry for my two sons aged 6 and 8.
Big waves but he kept them safe and they loved it.
Will be back for a week family course when we can

Absolutely amazing time! There's a reason why this is THE best surf school in Newquay, and that's the fact that Mike is a living legend... Awesome coach. One-on-one for two hours and I have some great pointers to work on and practice. Definitely recommend!
This guy knows every inch of the seabed, and what that does to wave formation, where it will break next and just when.

My teenage daughter surfed with Escape over 5 days this last week and had a superb experience. 4 of those days she joined larger groups and on the last day she got 1:1 coaching from Mike, the owner (and a hugely experienced surfer with international competition experience). All of the sessions were well run and high calibre, with coaches who remained focused and committed to student advancement the whole time. These folks are really professional, friendly and do a great job. The final session in the water with Mike was brilliant - my daughter said it was one of the best days of her life! She made great progress and felt she learned more about surfing in that 2 or so hours, than the rest of the week - and to be clear, she loved the rest of the week too. We felt the entire week represented excellent value for money. If you're looking for somewhere to progress your surfing skills, from total beginner all the way through to competition standard - this is the place to go. Thank you Escape for being so very easy to deal with too.

I highly recommend Mike and the Escape team. I was made to feel welcome and the knowledge gained was priceless. I will certainly be returning very soon.

Absolutely superb lesson for my daughter (Age 12) from Mike Young.
Built her confidence as a novice surfer with great and clear coaching tips. Superb with her in the water.
Cannot recommend a surf coach highly enough.
Brilliant customer service and high level surf coaching for all abilities.

Everyone was so friendly and welcoming including the lady on reception and all the instructors. The lessons were engaging and helpful. I felt I improved so much over my two days of lessons. Will definitely be coming back for more lessons in the future!
