Myself and my partner Matt attended the introduction to the pottery wheel on Friday 22nd September.
What a fabulous day! Sarah and Jon were so informative and helpful and very patient.
We came away with two little mini pots.
Great experience you must try if you won’t regret it.

I attended the Introduction to the Potter's wheel and really enjoyed the experience. It was the first time I had used the wheel and was eager to learn. Jon and Sarah were very welcoming and very good teachers - I managed to create 2 pots that I was quite proud of! Time flew by and I am looking forward to learning more on a day course soon.

We had great fun in this introductory lesson with Jon and Sarah. Both we’re exceeding knowledgeable and gave lots of encouragement, and their studio is light and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit!

Thank you Suzanne. I'm glad you had an illuminated time! A few years ago we took the decision to really brighten up the workspace with extra lighting/paint etc...It really made a difference not only to our own making but also to our guest's experience. There are no dark corners to hide those wobbles and happy accidents! :D Thanks once again for attending our Intro class and taking the time to recommend your potter's wheel experience online.

Oliver and I holiday in the area every year and Eastnor Pottery has become part of our holiday, so much so that for the last 4 years we have returned! We can definitely recommend the experience. Jon and Sarah are brilliant tutors, they are patient and teach with a great sense of humour. Even if your pot doesn't quite turn out as expected you learn something every time and it's a fun experience.

Hello Russell and great to catch up with you and Oliver again last week...and for introducing another two of your clan to the way of the Bin Bag Boys!!! Your annual visits are rapidly becoming one of our calendar highlights and we were relieved you hadn't abandoned your traditional pottery garms for more conventional protection ;) Thanks for reviewing your experience and we are already looking forward to your visit next year. 4 of us travelled from Northampton to try our hand at Pottery for the first time and I must say what a great experience we had
Jon was very informative with an intimate style as he demonstrated the basics
Whilst a little daunted we all had two goes at creating our own masterpieces
Sarah was brilliant as we all worked through the 5 basic stages helping and encouraging and assisting as certainly my piece decided it would do its own thing as I was shaping
All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed the experience and my wife is now keen to follow up on a one day experience
Congratulations to both Jon and Sarah in their business model and for a lovely time really engaging and helpful approach tuition for us beginners

Thanks Sean - we are very pleased to hear your visit to us was worth the journey from Northampton. People come from all over the UK (sometimes beyond!) to experience the potter's wheel with us - often, as it your case, for the very first time. We salute all of you and acknowledge the time and effort customers go to to get here. Thank you! The clay can have a mind of it's own can't it?! but as you are now aware, we embrace all the pots people make, whatever the shape, size or wobbliness - in fact those 'anarchic' shapes are the most valuable ones - all part of the learning journey. Thank you, all four, for spending your potter's wheel maiden voyage here at Eastnor Pottery and for recommending our little creative business. Cant wait to see you all again - sounds like your wife has the bug!

There were about 16 of us two to a wheel, most of us were rubbish, the instruction was first class the people were fantastic and informative, every single person had a smile from ear to ear, and enjoyed every second of the time on the wheel, there was lots of laughter and friendly chat, loved every second of the couple of hours

Brilliant! What a positive synopsis of our Introduction to the Potter's Wheel Class - love the line 'every single person had a smile from ear to ear' - job done in our opinion. The Intro classes are great fun and with the right mix of participants, it's more often like a party than a pottery class. Thank you for your positive comments and glad we were able to end your clay drought - 50 years!!! -don't leave it so long next time! :D
