This was the worst tour we did our entire vacation. Not enough time in Canterbury, it was Sunday so maybe my fault for not double checking, most shops didn’t open until 11:00 and the cathedral was closed until 12:30. If we had stayed longer we could have toured the cathedral. Three hours at Leeds Castle was way too much time, had there not been a festival that day we would have had to kill a good two hours. Very disappointing.

This was a very enjoyable way to travel back to London post cruise. We docked and were off the boat in Dover by 545 am and check in to hotel wasn't until 1500. This trip was perfect. Michael our tour guide and Will our coach driver made the trip fun. Mike a wealth of local knowledge kelp us entertained with stories and history of the area. We also did walking tour to both Canterbury Cathedral and Leeds castle before being let loose on our own to explore and shop. We had ample time at both stops to wander around and do a bit of shopping.. Great tour and at a great price. Thank you Mike and Will for a great day

We were picked up at the cruise port. First we got into port at 05am and the bus picked us up at 08 so it was a long day. And we opted for the 2 tour stops before getting to our hotel.Our guide Mike was excellent historian, very personable and Our driver Will did an awesome job, navigating us to our destinations. The weather didn't cooperate much and walking to leeds castle was a trek, unfortunately they normally have a ride that will take you from the parking lot to the castle but its out of service. So for out of shape me the walk was exhausting, but the tour was enjoyable. I highly recommend..

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 our cruise was cancelled, BUT this organization was SO AMAZING! They contacted us before we contacted them to give us a full refund. It is so disappointing that our cruise we had been planning for over 2 years was cancelled, but International Friends made everything so easy. When we do get to go on our cruise in the future we will absolutely use them again for our cruise terminal pick-up and excursion to Canterbury & Leeds Castle!

We were able to depart early for an unscheduled stop to photograph the Dover castle. Beautiful day and at a relaxed pace. Our guide, Oz, was was knowledgeable and friendly. Group size was great at only 10 people.

Highly recommended tour for people travelling from Dover (after a cruise) for hotel or airport drop off in London.

The service arrived as advised/directed. HOWEVER, the 'luxury coach' was not so luxury. The Mini Van which arrived had only room for luggage in the rear for possibly 2-passengers (ie 1 large case and 2 small bag for 2-passengers). The rest of the luggage had to be placed inside the van between the passenger seats. There were 8 to 10 passengers in the tour. The seating of the van was very cramped, also not luxury.

Upon arrival at the van we ((my partner and I) delivered the luggage (2 large bags and 2 smaller bags) to the driver at the rear of the van who then instructed us to enter the van and be seated and he would arrange the luggage. After waiting some time the driver loaded the bags into the van and we departed.
The Guide assigned to use was excellent and informative throughout the trip.
We later arrived at Leeds Castle where were toured the complex and returned to the van. At this time the passengers were to be divided up for delivery to their respective locations.

It was at this time we noticed that one of our bags was missing and had not been loaded into the van initially at the dock where we were initially picked up. This caused us serious stress and delay. There was an amount of to-and fro with the Operations Manager Louise who accused us of not delivering the bag to the driver and denied the driver took control of the bag. We explained that when the bag was delivered to the driver we had removed an extra bag which was attached to the missing bag and we got into the van. This bag was still in our possession so we could not have left it at the dock. We had witnesses to this fact.

They allegedly located the bag at the dock and then refused to send the bag to us without us paying for the transportation of the bag. The operations manger did not appear to have any concern of the fact that the missing bag also contained our medication.

We were delivered to the Hotel at Heathrow but upon attempting to book-in it was found that we had been delivered to the incorrect Hotel. We then had to be reload the bags and change to the other hotel. We would no use or recommend this carrier again

Good morning, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your feedback - I am glad to read that you enjoyed your time with the guide. However, I am a little surprised to read the rest of your review. All of our vehicles are luxury, with comfortable seating and air conditioning. The vehicle allocated to this tour was a 19 seater executive minibus; for a tour running with 10 customers there was more than enough room on board for all passengers, plus their luggage. Upon arrival at the minibus, all of the luggage you had brought with you was loaded up. When you noticed that one of your bags was missing, at the last stop on the tour, you had our driver call our emergency phone. Our emergency staff then did their utmost to assist you, despite your incredibly rude and dismissive tone. Immediately after your call, our staff began to try and locate the bag, and soon enough discovered that it was on the baggage claim belt at Dover Cruise Terminal. We have spoken with the ground handling team at the port, who have in turn reviewed the CCTV with security and have categorically stated that it would be a complete breach of security, for, as you claim, the bag to leave the building, be left unattended in the road and then taken back into the building. This would never happen in any port around the UK. They are categorical in their statement that an unattended bag would not be removed from the road and returned onto the luggage belt. Their procedure in dealing with left luggage is to firstly investigate it as a potential security threat. If and when deemed safe, it would be taken to the reception area at the port. Luggage that has come off of the luggage belt and removed from the arrivals hall is never returned to the luggage belt. In addition to this information from the port, we discussed separately with both driver and guide, the procedure that was followed before the departure of this vehicle: Your guide and driver did a walk around the coach after everybody was on board, to double check that there was no remaining luggage, as is standard protocol for an International Friends tour. Had your luggage been in the road, as you claim, they would have seen it. If you had left your bag at the rear of the vehicle, as you stated, the vehicle would have run over it as it reversed out. The driver, as would everyone else on board, would have noticed this. I would have thought you would be exceptionally grateful for how our staff handled this issue on the day of your tour. They located the bag and had it collected from the port, and safe in a company vehicle within an hour of receiving your phone call. Given that your bags are your responsibility, I am unsure why you would not expect to cover the cost of this? I would also like to highlight that you booked the wrong month for your journey down to Dover, which we upgraded to a private transfer for you at short notice. You had also given us the wrong information regarding your hotel drop off for the day of your tour (this is why you were taken to this hotel). Despite this, our driver re-loaded your bags and took you to the correct hotel. You left your bags at the port, which our staff also rectified. Many other companies would have simply given you the number for the team at Dover Cruise Terminal and had no further involvement. I am very sorry to hear that you feel this way about our company, but we fervently disagree with your comments. Each time and every time you made a mistake, our staff rectified the issues to the best of their ability for you. I appreciate that this situation must have been stressful for you, but I hope in time, you will see that all the staff at International Friends did was help you. Kind regards, International Friends
