We did a full day tour of The Lake District beginning and ending in Keswick. Tim was our guide and we were pleased the tour went forward with only my wife and I participating. Many tour companies would have canceled. Tim was absolutely great, the commentary was excellent, and it was so much better to let him do the driving. I am very glad we didn’t attempt this on our own in a rental car!

Amazing scenery complimented by knowledgeable tour director, especially the geologic history of the region. Frequent stops to leave the van to experience the various sites within this unique region of the world. Our guide and driver were first rate and very friendly discussions were held during our trips to various sites of interest. Tour included a trip on one of the largest lakes in the Lake District. Overall, a unique experience not to be missed.

The tour was a great introduction to the Lakes District! Our guide, Tim, was a wonderful source of scientifically-rooted information. I loved hearing the geologic history of the area, along with the history of each stop (including some of the regional challenges). Tim was kind enough to accommodate my mother’s slightly lessened mobility due to a recent injury. The sites were absolutely beautiful, and the area certainly showcased its diverse and changing weather.

We enjoyed our tour on Sun 16th June 2024 with our guide Tim. He arrived promptly and the minibus was comfortable and had access to USB charging points. Tim is a fountain of knowledge on the lakes history, people and sheep! accompanied with funny stories. Tim’s expert driving around the narrow roads made it look easy. The small group made for a more personable experience. The viewpoints and scenery were amazing and the cruise on Ullswater was a wonderful bonus. The day was relaxed and not rushed, a great way to see the area and we thoroughly recommend the tour and company. Thanks Tim for a great day.

Collected promptly at pickup point and headed off via a series of very scenic roads before arriving at Ullswater for our lake cruise. The weather was starting to change and clouds and showers moved in. Tim, our guide, quickly re-arranged our tour so that we would have a greater chance of seeing some of the highlights later in the day when the weather should be better. For an excellent preview of the Lake District we recommend this tour.

My daughter and I had a great day with tour guide Gillian and driver Sandra on our tour of the lakes. This was our second tour with them and we saw so many places we never would have known to visit if they hadn’t shown us. The stops and lake cruise both were perfect.

Gillian and Sandra are absolutely fantastic. Their tour and tailored itinerary showed us all the unique bits of the Lake District that we would not be able to see otherwise. Thanks to them, we have had a truly wonderful trip. Highly recommended!!!

Great day in the Lakes seeing places away from the usual routes. Our guide and driver were very knowledgeable and friendly. Very glad we booked as some of the roads were very narrow.

Great combination of driver and tour guide. Excellent, informative and fun. Smaller group/minibus and great local knowledge meant we could go along the smaller roads and tracks and see more interesting areas, and pull into small lay-byes for photo opportunities unlike the coach sized tours. Would recommend it as a great day out. Guide was knowledgeable but never boring, with lots of humour and fun. Driver was excellent and handled the smallest of roads and steepest of inclines without any bother. Great time, great trip.

Yes on a private tour but sadly not on a scheduled tour in case we have other visitors who dislike dogs or have allergies.

Hi looking to book this quad trek approx 29th August for myself, wife 50 and son 12 yr old, I assume at 12 yr old he cannot have his own quad, would he be a passenger on my quad.??

I don’t know if adjustments are made due to seasonality, but in August the pick up was at 9:00 and drop off at 18:15 at the Windermere train station. They are responsive to email enquiries if you would like to contact them directly.

Yes, you will need to purchase a seat for them though. There is not much to entertain a child of this age on the trip as it is a scenic tour but they are welcome.
