The river cruise was very boring and just seemed to go around in circles. Definitely not recommend. The bus was ok. The whole thing is not worth the money.

I’m sorry the River Explorer Cruise did not meet your expectations. The 50-minute trip offer visitors the opportunity to see the spectacular Liverpool waterfront from the deck of an iconic Mersey Ferry. Thanks for the review.

The route to the boat tour could be better signposted but the boat tour itself was great plenty to see up and down the river with an explanatory narration telling you where to look to see everything. The bus tour was a great way to see the rest of the city made even better by our very funny tour guide who was not only very knowledgeable about the city but had a funny story to tell about everything,

Had an amazing 2 days in Liverpool doing the river cruise and hop on hop off bus.
The tour guides on the buses were terrific, with their knowledge of Liverpool and their banter and jokes.
I think we saw most of what we had intended.

Lovely trip on the river Mersey and it made our day as the Queen Anne was docked here for her naming ceremony . The city tour was our best one yet with great commentary Liverpool sure has a great history well worth a visit.

Excellent trips with good commentary. Vic and Wayne on the bus tour very good - great history, told with humour en route. Recommended for sure. Good value for money.

Arrived just in time to catch the ferry.
We bought the combo ticket and used the busses the following day.
Ferry: informative, plenty of space to sit and we had a good view through the windows (went outside a few times to take photos).
Buses: we had two commentators which were great in their own en way. The route is good and the views from the top deck front seat are great.
Well worth the money.

The river cruise was good, and the staff and crew were happy to have my dog on board. Having visited the Wirral and Liverpool many times, it was good getting a different perspective from the water. The bus tour was informative and gives you a good basis to explore further. Even if the guides' jokes are older than Liverpool, it's self

Can you get on and off the bus when ever you want? I am very confused because it says 24hr bus but then it says 2hrs duration ? How do you book the ferry ? When is the first ferry? How long is the ferry ride ?

1. Are the cruise tour and bus tour separated (two isolated tickets) ? If I book a package on 23rd Jan dose it mean that I should take the cruise tour on 23rd but can take the bus tour any day before or after 23rd Jan.

Yes - bus ticket is valid for 24 hours so if you get the river and bus ticket on say the 23rd of January at noon then you have until noon on the 24th to take the bus tour. The bus tour is good.

I am meeting 2 elderly & slightly frail relatives off the VIKING SEA at Gate 3 at 0930 on 7 Aug. Will we make the 1000 Ferry & is it perfectly obvious where the dock is from Gate 3 of the Terminal? Also would you recommend online booking? Many thanks

The cruise ships usually dock right next to the ferry terminal which is right opposite the liver building
I would say yes you probably would make the 10.00 ferry but they run regularly anyway the gangway to the ferry is a little steep but there are usually staff around to help the ticket office is at the top of the gangway there’s not normally queues so wouldn’t bother with online purchase hope you enjoy your trip to our wonderful CITY

Walk along waterfront towards city centre where you will see the ferry terminus you will also see a double decker bus parked up advertising ferry and bus sightseeing tour we got our tickets for both at the bus. Do the ferry first as it gets very busy then do the sightseeing hop on and hop off bus hope you enjoy it as much as we did
