Excellent Tour

Picked best day to go to The Lakes - the sun was out 😎 Amazing views of the National Parks along with a cruise and steam train added in -made this event fantastic - and not to mention the group of great travellers - we all enjoyed the craic with Tom

Horrible experience

I booked and pre-paid for the tour starting from Liverpool on July 2nd for July 13th.
They canceled the tour with me and my family finding it out after going to the meeting point and waiting for 30 minutes for the bus to show up on the same day of July-13.
Upon me calling them, they offered for a change for Friday's tour starting from... Manchester. Only after a lot of push, they offered to return the money back which I am still expecting and have not received it back to my bank account.
Really horrible experience.

Hi markosk802, I am sorry to read your 1* review. Unfortunately, due to operational reasons we were required to cancel your tour on 13th July. We did make contact with you via the Viator portal 3 times to cancel your tour & I am sorry that you did not receive this correspondence prior to arriving for the tour. With regards to the refund, we always refund guests that have been cancelled. However as you booked with a third party agent, Viator/TripAdvisor, this means we do not hold your funds. We do not receive payment from third party agents until 1 month after the service has taken place. Therefore, Viator/TripAdvisor hold your funds and were advised to refund your payment when your booking was cancelled, I am sorry this was delayed arriving to you. Once again, I can only apologizes for the miscommunication and understanding regarding your cancellation and refund. Best wishes, Mountain Goat

Great day out!
Even though it was foggy we were able to see some lovely spots of the Lake District. It felt very wintery and crisp. Are tour guide had lived there so she knew her way around well and took us to some spots that tourists wouldn’t know.

Lake District worth the long drive.
Driver and guide Jeanie loves the flora, fauna and rich history of this stunning 🤩 countryside.
No question left unexplored; she encouraged us to step out of the van even in a misty rain to capture epic views of a magical place.
History does come alive in a place like Hawkshead, Windermere and more cozy hamlets smushed up against the largest natural lake in England. I’d do this tour again 👍

Great day trip, amazing tour guides

Got a unique experience with 2 amazing tour guides, Mike and Gary. Windermere Lake Cruises was ok. The best part of the trip was when we took the off-the-beaten tracks to Sticklebarn, the view was breath-taking. Both tour guide and driver were very nice and knowledgeable. Worth every penny spent!
